This week the challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Anything Goes" & as they have lots of fabulous printables, not just digital images & papers I thought I would have a go at making their "Fairy Secret Delights Recipe Box" & it was really quite simple :) I kept it "as is" but you could embellish it with glitter, flowers or whatever you like.  I hope you can join us & if you play with a Paper Shelter image/design you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth a whopping $30! All to spend in the Paper Shelter store & even if you don't use TPS images there is still the chance to win 3 of their fabulous images :) So you've got nothing to loose :D

Valentines Box & Earrings

Di's Digi challenge today is "Valentines" & I thought I'd make a little box to put a valentines gift in.  I made the box with my Ultimate Pro (I wanted to print some nice patterned card to make the box with but my printer's playing up so I had to settle for plain cream).  The image I used from Di's Digi Downloads is called "Love Bears" & I paper pieced his jumper & coloured the rest with ProMarkers (for some reason my colouring was a bit pants on this image but hopefully you can see how adorable it is).  I added the obligatory Glamour Dust ;) & finished off with a flower, heart gems & pearls, heart die cut border & a ribbon.  I then made some earrings to go in the box (although I have been wearing them so they're not really a present apart from to myself lol).  There is the chance to win a $10 voucher from Joanna Sheen & lots of inspiration from the other DT girls.

Anything But a Card...

I know you will find this hard to believe but this creation has nothing to do with Christmas! (apart from the fact that it could be a Christmas pressie that is).  The challenge at Jellypark Friends this week is "ABC- Anything But a Card".  I have been so short of time lately that I had to try & make something that didn't take too long so I used my Ultimate Pro to make a box using Basic Grey card stock & the "Clothes, Shoes, Handbag Shop" digital stamp, which is one of today's new releases.  I paper pieced the shop & dress & coloured the rest with ProMarkers.  The finishing touches were Glamour Dust (almost obligatory lol), a circle flower, ribbon & brad.  The box is filled with some childrens jewellery that I made.  The DT have absolutely excelled themselves for this challenge so I hope you will check their designs out & that you can find time to join us (& perhaps make some last minute Christmas gifts).

The challenges:
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Anything Goes (with ribbon)
Delightful - Anything Goes
The Crafty Pad - Send Someone a Smile... No Christmas or Birthday Cards
One Stitch at a Time - Use a Digi
The Paper Variety - Anything Goes
Anything Goes - Anything But a Card

I'm sorry I haven't had much time for commenting lately but work has been very busy & I've (still) got lots of stuff to sort out for Christmas (I love this time of year!).  Hopefully I will soon be organised & be able to visit all your fabulous blogs :o)

It's A Frame Up!

This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "Fancy Folds" (with a sentiment).  I wasn't sure what to make but I'd had my Humphrey's Corner cd-rom for a while & hadn't really made anything with so thought I would try making a frame card. It wasn't quite as easy as I'd hoped especially as there are no instructions on the cd-rom lol Luckily I found some instructions here.  I'm quite pleased with the outcome & I'm sure my little granddaughter Abigail would like it as she LOVES elephants.  I added a gem, pearls & flowers & the sentiment I believe is from TLC.   I hope you will have a go at some fancy folds & join in the challenge :o)  & if you're looking for more inspiration you need look no further than the fabulous DT!

The challenges:
Bling It On - No Patterned Papers
The Stamp Man - Circle It
Woodware USA - Anything Goes
Crafty Boots - Zoo or Animal Theme

Anything But A Card at Sentimental Sundays

I hope you're all having a great (long) weekend.  We went to Kent yesterday for our grandson Ryan's 6th birthday party, it was great fun & he really enjoyed himself (it was a very long day though an 8 hour round trip but definitely worth it) & it was so lovely to see him, his lil sister Abigail & my son Craig & DIL Zoe (I do miss them!).  So today I'm hoping not to do very much today (apart from some crafting of course).

It is very exciting times at Sentimental Sundays as today the design team members are announced - all 14 of them!  The "old" team members have now been promoted to Senior Members (I've never been a senior anything lol) how cool :)  This week's challenge is "Anything But A Card" (with a sentiment) & I should have found this easy as I love papercrafting & making different things to cards BUT I couldn't decide what to make lol.  In the end I went for a  Christmas birdhouse ornament, I've made a couple of these before & they do look pretty on the tree.  The red card is from Dovecraft's Noel premium paper pad & the green (though it doesn't look green in the photo) is digi (can't remember which one sorry) printed onto card.  I didn't have the correct nesties for the roof & base as used in the instructions so I just measured & cut with scalloped scissors.  I finished off with some wire & beaded flowers, a pointsettia, punched tag stamped with Noel, a couple of gems, tinsel, eyelets & some stretchy cord for hanging. The instructions & template are HERE if you would like to have a go :o)

I would like to enter this into these challenges:

Card For A Special Person

Happy Wednesday everyone, I love Wednesdays cos it is my day off (although I have got to go to the hospital for an Endoscopy this afternoon so that's not too much fun).  This card was made at the request of my Aunty for her daughter's 50th birthday.  She didn't give me any brief so it took me ages to decide what to do (& especially what image to use, I've been looking at loads lol).  I find it's always harder making a card for someone special as you want it to be perfect (well not perfect but special - you know what I mean).  I decided on this cute image from Pollycraft & coloured it with Promarkers, I did go over the top with the Glamour Dust but my cousin is a real girly girl like me & loves all that sort of thing & so I used lace, ribbon, lots of flowers & a charm.  The papers were free from Computer Scrapbook & I finished of with some stamped, punched & glittered butterflies & some gems, a brad & a button & a made a matching box.

ALSO as it is Sentimental Sundays 1st Anniversary you have several chances to win a fantastic digital sentiment  set of your choice from Rainbdrop Echo Designs Whimsy Stamps digital collection by commenting on each DT member's post (every member will be giving away set) & that's not all... we are having a DT call too so if you would like to be part of our fab team check out the post on the main blog :o)

It has a matching cream insert & I am making a box to go with the card which I will add to the post when it's finished.

Not a Card!

I've been catching up with some crafting this weekend (well trying to) although instead of making the cards I should be making I keep getting distracted for example I saw the challenge on "Just us Girls" & had a look at the free template & thought I would like to make one (it's called a cutesy cover but is really a little box lol). I used some double-sided card stock from my stash to make the box, then stamped a flower on a piece of card & again a couple of times on some velum, added some Glamour Dust to the centre & finished of with some ribbon. I also made a punched tag to go with it.

I've got another card to blog but I think I'll have a cup of tea & a hot cross bun first (to give me some energy ;o) )

Woo Day Off!

I love Wednesday cos it's my day off & today I had such great plans to do loads of crafting but it's now the afternoon & all I've done is faff about lol The time definitely goes quicker on Wednesdays (& weekends) . I've got lots of housework to do too so I'm hoping to have a quick wizz round when I've finished blogging.

I got my Papercraft Inspirations magazine today & it had some fab free templates with it so I wanted to have a go & I made this little heart box which I think is really cute but lacking something though I do like the flower I made. I'm entering this for the Kaboodle Doodles challenge which is "Anything but a Card". Oh well can't delay the agony anymore - where's that hoover...

(The bottom photo shows the true colours)
