Everybody's Favourite Challenge...

Hello, sorry I've not been around much lately I've been working extra hours as we are short-staffed at work & that hasn't left much time for crafting or blogging :o(
As the title suggests this weeks challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "Anything Goes" (+ a sentiment) & it is one that everyone can join in :D  I made a TP  mini album (an album using the inside of toilet paper rolls) for a swap & I must admit I didn't find it that easy though I would def have another go & hopefully it would be easier 2nd time round (I'll let you know if I do).  Here is the video I used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8vndiRxuWk if you want to have a go.  I used various papers & stamps that I hadn't used for a while together with some lace ribbon & various other bits & bobs from my stash.  We are sponsored by Rick St Dennis so there is also the opportunity to win some fab images too :o)

The TP tubes are used to make the pockets

The challenges:

A Creative Need - Anything Goes
Time 4 Scrap - Anything Goes
Flat Friends - Anything But a Card
Craftyhazelnut - Patterned Paper
Emergency Crafters - Not a Card

New Found Love...Mini Albums (**V**) (warning: lots of photos)

Today is my turn to choose the theme for this week's Sentimental Sundays challenge & I chose "Vintage/Steampunk" & I had in my head I wanted to make something with an Alice in Wonderland feel.  I had a wonderfully illustrated book when I was little & it was my fav.  I saw THIS printable album online & fell in love with it.  It took me ages to make but I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I added a few other images I bought on Etsy & added some ribbons, charms, ink & liquid embossing.  I would love to make for mini albums but I really don't have much free time at the moment :o( (I did make a toilet paper roll album for a swap which I will blog at a later date but I don't like it as much as this one).  I haven't shown all the photos (but there are still lots lol), I hope you get the idea :o)

Notebook

Hello everyone & Happy Sunday (& Happy Father's Day to all those Dad's in the UK), I hope you're having a great weekend.  We're taking FIL out to lunch & Stuart (youngest son) is coming too so I'm looking forward to that.  As it is Sunday it's time for another challenge at Sentimental Sundays & this week it is "Sprays/Mists".  I had a slight problem as I wanted to use my Perfect Pearls antique gold spray for creation but I had only sprayed a tiny bit & then the bottle got clogged up & I couldn't get it to work so I had to use the only other spray I have which is silver & I sprayed it on thin blue card (I was going to spray the gold on Kraft card).  I love notebooks (& making lists) & think you can never have too many, this one was free with a magazine & just had a plain cover.  We are sponsored by MayzyArt & the DT were lucky enough to chose an image to work with & I chose MacKenzie & coloured her with ProMarkers.  I finished the notebook off with a ribbon, flowers, gem & some alphabet stickers.  If you like me have sprays that you haven't used for ages or if you love using them & use them all the time, I hope you will join us.

The challenges:
Stamping Sensations - Summer Blooms
Alphabet - I for Image
Creative Corner - Girly Girl
Digi Haven - Anything Goes

Notebooks

I love notebooks & I always have them full of lists: things to do, wish lists etc :D  so when I saw these blank notebooks in Poundland I thought they would be perfect to alter.  As you can see I kept them REALLY simple but I love this "Sophie in the Country" image from The Paper Shelter & didn't think they needed anything else, just a bit of ribbon - Less is (sometimes) More lol. The Kraft card is from Craftwork Cards. This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter is "Alter Something or a Card with at least 3 folds".  As always we have our gift certificate up for grabs at our challenges. It's worth $30 and it can be yours is if you play with a TPS image and are  drawn by Mr Random. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice, so it's a win, win situation :D

The challenges:
Less is More - Kraft & Kreme
Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Papertake - Anything Goes
Pretty Little Ribbon - Anything Goes

Here they are before
I hope you're having a wonderful week.  I'm so glad to have a day off today as we started having snow again yesterday & it was freezing biking to/from work.  I think I'll stay in the warm today & try & do some crafting :^)

Image Folder with Cupcake Zoe

I made this image folder for my bloggy pal Jane's birthday recently (only now found time to blog it).  The image I used was from DigiStamp Boutique, I love Sally-Ann's images & these new Zoe ones are definitely some of my favs (might have something to do with the fact they have cupcakes & chocolate lol).  I coloured her in with ProMarkers & added Glamour Dust around the outline, the papers are "Bloom & Grow" by Zoe Pearn from the Sweet Shoppe, the sentiment was free from TLC & I finished off with an adhesive lace border & some ribbon.

Hope you've all had a great week - I have, we had my son Craig & his partner  Zoe & my gorgeous grandchildren (Ryan & Abigail) staying for a few days :) & have a lovely weekend.

Wow, the weeks are flying by,  there's definitely a chill in the air & it's time for another Stampin' for the Weekend challenge which is "Tag It".  This time we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs & the DT were lucky enough to be given some fab digis to use :)  I made a, hmmm I don't know what you call these cards lol.  I kept it really simple cos I thought there was quite enough sparkle & bling going on.  I used my Fiskars punch for the tag, stamped a little sentiment & added a brad, the papers are mostly Dovecraft I believe.  Why not check out the other DT members for lots more inspiration :)

For Fun - Little Book

This week's challenge at For Fun is to make a little book, which is super easy & Helen gives you instructions so there's no excuse not to have a go (unless you're too busy or can't be bothered lol).  I used my Ultimate Pro to measure & score the lines which made it even easier.  Then I stamped flowers (these are Enchanted Floral by Stampabilities), paper pieced the flowers, coloured the foliage with Sakura glitter pens & finished off with ribbons, staples & gems.  Why not check out the other DT members blogs for more inspiration :)

I'm entering this little book for these challenges:
Your Next Stamp - Flower Power
Alphabet - J is for Jewels
Creative Cottage - No Cards Allowed!
Quirky Crafts - Ribbons
Glitterbabe - Make it Sparkly

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Today my grandson Ryan is 5, he is such a lovely little boy & is absolutely crazy about cars. I made him a word book of his name & put lots of cars on the front (there are cars on the inside too). This took me ages to make, it was fiddly getting the letters lined up & choosing which cars he would like & where to put them... but it was worth it as he really likes it :)
The template & papers are from Scrapbooking Mad (link on the left side of my blog). Ryan is on holiday at the moment & has had a great day today at Lego Land (he also loves lego as you can see from the photo).

I'm entering his card for the Incy Wincy challenge which is "For the Little Ones" & Die Cut Dreams which is "Celebration Card with a Number on".

Little Book of Scruffles :-)

Time for another challenge over at Lexi's Creations. This week the theme is nice & easy "Anything Goes" & the sponsor is Joanna Sheen. I made my little book using my Ultimate Pro (this was a Christmas pressie & this is the first time I've had chance to use it) & several of Lexi's Scruffles images coloured in with ProMarkers (isn't he just adorable). You can check Scruffles & all of Lexi's other designs at her Doodles website or on Digital Ink Co. The paper is from Scrapbooking Mad & I embellished the pages with various flowers, hearts, gems, pearls & stickers. Oh I nearly forgot the lace & ribbon for closing the book.

I'm entering this for 5 challenges:
ABC - One paper
Dare U 2 Digi - Use Your Punches
Our Creative Corner - Try a NEW Technique
AiFactory - 3d Project or Card
Kaboodle Doodles - Fancy Folds

"Pimp" a Notebook

I "pimped" this notebook for the Double Dutch challenge - this is my first entry in this challenge & did enjoy until it all went horribly wrong lol. I got a streak of purple ink down Tilda's face, I tried rubbing it out & sanding it but this made it much worse & as it was a stamped image sent to me by my dear friend Linda I couldn't paper piece the face as I had no stamp to do this with so (as you can probably tell) I had to trace the face onto a piece of paper & improvise. I'm not happy with the results but wanted to enter the challenge so that's why I'm blogging it.

Ooh I forgot to say I used papers from Designs by Krista's May Flowers kit, lil flowers that were free with a mag, the charm is from a cheap bracelet I bought to disect, some prima flowers, brads, gems, See Ds Morsels "Connectors Collection", sticky ribbon & alphabet stickers

It will be a handy lil book to write in all the gorgeous crafty items I see that I would like while I'm surfing the net & maybe I'll get a few off Father Christmas (if I'm a good girl lol).

Something Useful

Steph's challenge on SBS 18 this week is "Something Useful" which was handy cos I had an old notebook from work which I was going to make a lil more presentable.

I covered it with a Pink Petticoat paper, added some Mayer Road rub-ons, silver card & sticky lace. In case you're wondering the word on the front is "Maternity" lol (I work in a Drs & sorting out the maternity stuff is part of my job).
