"Bolt Action"

"From Blitzkrieg to North Africa, from the Russian Front to the D-Day Landings, Bolt Action puts YOU in command of the most brutal and famous battles of the Second World War.  Assemble and paint your brave men and tanks, field them on a table-top battlefield, and use all your strategy, cunning and luck to defeat your opponent."  I've played this game about half a dozen times and if you love 40K then you will love this.  It has all the production, feel and look of a GW game and unfortunately the rules suffer as such too.  Now I might be a bit biased in my gaming but Bolt Action is probably a good gateway game for new comers to WWII skirmish so take it for what it is and grow from it to something better rules-wise later on.  The game is also supported by a MASSIVE minis line by Warlord so that is definitely a bonus for any new comers.  So, swing by their web site and see if this ones right for you.  If you have any more insight on this game chime in and let us know about it.

Again, a good gateway game to something better.
