Wish List: Christmas Edition

This post may be a wee late. But better late than never, right?

The first thing on my list was a new haircut. (Check.)

Fall Wish List

Sometimes I am not a very good shopper. I always find a deal, don't get me wrong, but that's part of the problem. Sometimes I get sucked into buying something I don't need because it's a good deal.

After my last closet purge, I have decided to change how I approach shopping. Rather than going shopping with absolutely nothing specific in mind, I will have a running list of things I need or want in my mind ahead of time.

In honor of this decision, here's my fall wish list.

We are spending a few weeks with our family in Utah.

This Week

We took DC by foot and I was so glad I picked up this gauzy cotton dress at H&M.
It was the perfect thing for the weather.

I got a big surprise on Mother's Day. My husband bought me an iPhone, which has been on my wish list for ages. I have been searching for a case that will protect my phone and that will be adorable (obviously).

Wish List: ASOS Pencil Dress

I have had a weird week. I have been working my tail off refinishing a credenza for our living room. For whatever reason, having a furniture project hanging over my head has made it difficult to focus on much of anything until it is finished. Does that ever happen to you?

I am hoping I can wrap the project up this weekend and get back into my normal groove.

I just had to share this beautiful dress. I seriously wish I had a good reason to buy it. Isn't it perfect?

Friday Wishlist: Double-Cloth Townhouse Trench

You know what I miss? Tailored clothes. As I mentioned here, the only parts of my closet that fit right are the stretchy things. All of my tailored clothes are too snug. The few that I can get on make me feel like a stuffed sausage. Sigh.

I saw this coat, and I let out an audible "ooohhh". The fit is insanely perfect.

Friday Wishlist: ECI Print Charmeuse Blouson Dress

Joy is killing it with her amazing clothes posts these last few weeks. First she had the blouse I was drooling over last week, and now this amazing dress:

I love the shape and that watercolor print is to die for.

I have been thinking I might make a dress with a similar shape for the summer, and then I realized dresses + nursing = nightmare. So, I thought I might make a matching skirt + top (80's style) that look like a dress. I am still going for a similar silhouette by making a loose fitting blouse and an elastic waist skirt. We shall see how it turns out. If I dig it, I'll show it to you when I wear it.

Also, I wanted to let you guys know how much I enjoyed reading your comments on dressing to nurse. I am planning to go through the comments and post links to favorite items and tutorials for some of the DIY projects you mentioned. Look for that post next week.

Two of my favorite things to wear during my pregnancy have been these Lauren Conrad tops. I doubly like them because I know I'll be able to wear them after the baby is born and that they'll help camouflage my less than stellar tummy.
