Enough Already

I must have a short attention span...I'm getting tired of posting pictures of this on going project and I mean on going. You are probably tired of it as well. Actually, I only started  last month...see what I mean about the short attention span

My eye is starting to wander again..... but with all my works in progress I would be crazy to start something new. So I made myself work on this, for a little while, this afternoon. Between a cold and some extra babysitting, I'm lucky I got anything done at all today.

Scraps With A Purpose

I've been busy creating some scraps with a purpose.....
I have ideas for these scraps, so I'm purposely creating larger ones than necessary.

Meanwhile this seems to be morphing into one giant, wonky hexagon.

Often, as I'm working on one quilt....ideas for a next one start formulating.
It's almost like one quilt spawns another...does this happen to you?

Making Progress with my Wonky Borders/Fresh Sewing Day

I am making progress on this Wonky Borders Quilt.

Here's a view of the back...

as you can see it's growing.

Here's a close-up.

I'm even adding some pink...hmm, not sure about that yet.

I just remembered it is Fresh Sewing Day at  Lily's Quilts.....If you have a moment stop in and check what everyone's been working on this month.

Endless Possibilities with Wonky Borders

Dan of  Piece and Press asked me the other day, if this was my first time creating QAYG Wonky Borders.. and it is. I'm thinking, that is a wonderfully, appropriate name......thanks, Dan.  Take some Wonky Borders, add some strips to create stripes, and things start happening.

The unexpected surprise is the wonderful striped scraps, which will be put right back, into the quilt. I'll be using some of the other QAYG joining methods as well. For the moment I'm just playing with all these delightful pieces.

I created a mosaic with some of the photo's I took, while auditioning, different background fabrics.
