It's been a little while since I did a look for the site, I've been kind of in a funk as of late with stress and such but finally felt like actually throwing some makeup on last week when I went to see Wicked.

The two shadows from Aromaleigh may have changed names (if they brought they back at relaunch of the new store/company, but I'm sure they have similar if not).

I have a huge fascination with Egyptian History, I'm always watching everything I happen to find about that period of time and region. This month Makeup Geek decided to do a Monthly Challenge for Influential Women of History, so of course I opted to do Cleopatra.

It's been forever since I've posted a look and I apologize for the lack of them, I'm really happy with how this turned out (6 hours to do lol).

Anyway onto the look!

A while back I got the Fyrinnae Halloween 2011 shadows that were released, I'd been so busy with work and reviews that I wasn't caught up to them yet. Anyway today the husband and I went out so I decided to put on something a little more fancy then was need for lunch and shopping.

For this look I also used the natural daylight to help show the true vibrancy of my look as well as my crazy new "Twisted Teal" hair color.

I also entered this look in the Makeupbee Competition! If you like it then I'd be very greatful if you voted for it. Vote here

The prize is for some Sugarpill stuff (I own most of them but Asylum), I don't normally say I will give stuff away to you if you I win because I don't want people to vote for me based on what seems like a bribe and I want genuine votes because you like my look. This time however since I already own most of the stuff (and I am just entering because I enjoy joining competitions/challenges) I'd be giving it away to you guys (keep Asylum though since I don't already have it).

Anyway onto the look!

I haven't been as active in ordering from MAC Cosmetics, mainly because I own so much already from them I've been dabbling with other companies. Also the fact most of their collections they release are Limited Edition so I save for what I really want/cannot live without from them because otherwise I'd be broke!

Recently I got excited about the new collection Vera that was releasing, mainly because the Crushed Pigments (Butterfly Party to be exact) are colors I absolutely love! I ended up placing an ordering as soon as it was available to me.

Anyway onto the pictures!

I was sad when I opened up my package because Sunday Afternoon Face Powder did not survive the trip and exploded all over everything.

As you can see it was no longer recognizable and what was left was just a huge mess. I immediately contacted MAC about this and they told me they would send out a replacement right away with 2 day shipping. That is one thing I give MAC is that I've never had any issue if there was a problem with my order, of all the times I've placed one (about 20 or more) I've only had 2 problems.

I did take the powder and repressed it into something... I'm not quite sure what it is, it's almost like a hybrid highlighter/blush. Anyway I'll have swatches and more product photos up soon and hopefully should receive my replacement Sunday Afternoon Powder before then.

I ordered the following items:

Aloha Crushed Metallic Pigments
Butterfly Party Crushed Metallic Pigments x2
Strawberry Patch Crushed Metallic Pigments
Sunday Afternoon Pearlmatte Face Powder
Mineralize Skinfinish Light
Emerald Dusk Pigment
Florida Cremeblend Blush
Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre

Did you order anything from the new collections? What do you think of them?

Friday I went out finally after being sick for what seems like an eternity, I'm not 100% and I'm still getting sick to my stomach from sinus issues but I can at least do stuff now. I decided I really wanted to put some makeup on because I hadn't for over a week.

Anyway here is the look I ended up doing.

Today I was playing around with my MAC shadows which is something I haven't done as of late, usually I just get stuck on certain brands during certain months but I want to use all my stuff.

So I dusted off the MAC stuff so to speak and played around a bit with my pressed shadows (and pigment). I added some sparkles to the picture since it's supposed to be a "celestial sprite".

In December 2006 in the MAC Collection release called Danse is when Lightscapade first came out, I myself missed out on it because I didn't get into MAC until 2008. I looked everywhere for it, I'm pretty pale and this one looks gorgeous, alas I searched to no avail. At least not for a reasonable price as places like ebay not only risked high prices ($100+) but also risked fake products.

Finally 5 years later... MAC listened to our pleading and brought back Lighscapade. It appeared to sell out quickly online, currently as I write this it's still showing sold out on the maccosmetics.com site. I ordered it as soon as I noticed it was out which was 09/24/11, I checked a couple days later and it was gone. So I'm guessing it's probably going to continue to go fast! Anyway onto the first look!

MAC Fall Colour: Lightscapade Mineralize Skinfinish

I'll have swatches of this and a review as well as comparison to the Revlon - Pure Confection Highlighting Face Powder which is also discontinued.
My Fiance had to drive an hour away to a mall near us to take back his iMAC to the Apple store due to it had issues so he told me to come along because its the only MAC closest to us. I had some birthday money (on a no buy otherwise trying to save funds) so I expected to maybe buy one thing myself.

Anyway we got to the MAC counter and I swatched Gimmie That, and Sassy Green because those were what I was planning on buying myself...so he asked the lady to get them for me and while they were doing that I swatched a Digi-Dazzle lipstick in Troublemaker because I was curious about them. That collection didn't seem that awesome to me because I'm not much of a lip person...when I swatched Troublemaker though the fiance came back and I told him to look at how pretty it was (It had alot of tiny glitter in it making it sparkly). So he tells the lady to grab that too...I was shocked because he had said early he could get anything for me (he had already given me money before to spend online ordering makeup for my birthday) so I was shocked that he was buying me 3 MAC things lol.

Anyway I ended up swatching Naughty You and decided on that one instead. So here's more birthday stuff...I really want a back up of Gimmie That! it's one that I got super excited about when I wore it...although I bought the last one from my store. :(

Swatched on my very pigmented lips below.

Gimmie That!

Naughty You

Note: Pictures don't do the sparkles justice...they are much more sparkly irl.
