This review is on Lime Crime Lipstick in the shade Poisonberry, I purchased this when it first came out in the Alchemy Collection, the collection is no longer available to purchase but you can still purchase Poisonberry separately.

I will also have a review of a few more Lime Crime Lipsticks coming up in the shades Babette, and Geradium as well as some Velvetines.

Anyway onto the photos!

Lime Crime Poisonberry Lipstick

My Rating:  6 out of 10 Feathers

Cost:  $18.00 for 0.12 oz

Availability:  www.limecrime.com

Formula:  Lipstick/Lipstain.

The Packaging:  Round shaped lipstick tube twist up.

My Final Thoughts:  This lipstick seemed to have a different texture than Serpentina did, it applied more patchy on me and seemed a tiny bit more drying. The color was pretty but it just didn't work for me, I tend to have very dry skin and lips as is even after using a lip balm. That being said it might work on you if you don't already have dry lips. It is noted as being a combination of a lipstick and a stain so it's possible that is why it's more drying as well.

This one did have the same pleasant scent though as Serpentina and I do really love that about Lime Crime lipsticks, I wish that Poisonberry had the same consistency as Serpentina though.

I do love the packaging as always but then again I love unicorns so I'm biased on it, I know some people think it looks too kiddish but my personality is fun and young no matter how old I get so I love it.

Would I purchase again?  Probably not. For me it was just not working on my lips, I tend to have dry lips even after using a lip balm before hand. That being said what didn't work on me may still work for you, so it's up to you if you want to give this one a try. I still really love Serpentina and that formula worked amazing on me so it would be awesome if Lime Crime found a way to make the lipstick formulas consistent.

Formula:  Metallic Finish.

My Final Thoughts:  I bought this first and foremost out of curiosity to see if it really was as true to the swatches they posted. Once I received it I couldn't stop staring at it, it was gorgeous in the packaging and just as beautiful after I swatched it.

Serpentina is described on their site as a Metallic Green and omg is it ever true to that and then some. It's got a beautiful shift of almost sparkles of blue and light green as well. It didn't make my lips dry at all and it went on creamy and pigmented!

I LOVE this lipstick shade, I love the packaging as well then again I'm all about unicorns and any mythical horse really so I guess I'm a tad biased there!

I found this lipstick has a smell that is similar to MAC lipsticks, it's sort of a vanilla scent that is not overly strong and you really can't smell much once on the lips.

Would I purchase again?  Absolutely, YES! This lipstick is pigmented, creamy, unique, and the smell is really pleasant! The price is higher than most but you're also getting a gorgeous shade that is really great quality.

I've been wanting to try out the Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper Primer for quite some time now, finally when they changed the packaging and put it in a cute squeeze tube not too long ago I ended up caving and purchasing it.

I will have a review up and comparison swatches in the next week or two, I have quite a few different eyeshadow primers already but I can never turn down trying out a new one especially in the pretty unicorn packaging.

Today Lime Crime has released a new shadow of lipstick called Babette, it's described as a pastel coral shade.

I ended picking up this and the Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper Prime, there are a few more things I want to get/try out but will have to wait on those for now.

Are you picking this up? What do you think of this shade?

A while back I ordered the Lime Crime Alchemy collection, at the time it was listed as Limited Edition and it had a discount if you purchased the whole collection as well as a special book that they called a Mook (Magazine/Book).

Currently you can still purchase the eyeshadow palette and it is no longer limited edition, you can also purchase the lipsticks although I believe Serpentina is only available around the fall time which is a shame because it's an amazingly gorgeous lipstick.

Incantation, Lucky Charm, Love Potion N'9, Spellbound, Divination

Incantation, Lucky Charm, Love Potion N'9, Spellbound, Divination

Swatched w/ finger over UDDP, taken in direct sunlight

My Rating:   9.5 out of 10 feathers

Cost:   $34.99 for 5 x 1.5 g

Availability:   www.limecrimemakeup.com

Formula:   I really love the formula for Incantation and Divination, they are very smooth and creamy without being powdery or crumbling when I tried to swatch them with my finger. Lucky Charm and Love Potion N'9 seem to be a more firmly packed shadow and I had a little trouble (not much) trying to swatch them but the pigmentation is still really great. Spellbound is smooth and creamy like Incantation and Divination, it has a little bit of a powdery texture but not very much and still swatched well with great pigmentation.

The packaging:  I love this packaging, I'm a huge fan of unicorns (and anything horse like in general especially fantasy based) and the color of the packaging is gorgeous. I know some people have said it seems like a cheap watercolor case but I personally think it would be easy to carry around. The only thing I did not like about it was the fact the insert that holds the shadows is a flimsy plastic sheet, although I did not notice the shadows moved around at all I think it would be cool if they added a more sturdy inside to it. It wouldn't have to be anything fancy like a MAC case but maybe a more sturdy thick cardboard insert would make it nicer.

My Final Thoughts:  I really love the colors in this palette, I'm more of a blue kind of girl but the orange in this palette is amazing and I don't think I own anything that is like it. The shadows that seem to have the best formula are Incantation and Divination, they are smooth and soft without being powdery and are extremely pigmented. I swatched all the shadows over Urban Decay Primer Potion and had no trouble getting the color to show up.

Would I purchase again?  Yes I would definitely purchase from Lime Crime again! I had no issues getting my package and everything was in order, these shadows have great color pay off and the packaging is pretty. I definitely want to try their liners, lip glosses, and especially their eyeshadow primer!

So back in October Lime Crime came out with a new collection called the Alchemy Collection, I hadn't really bought anything from them in a long time and I was intrigued by one of the Lipsticks called Serpentina so I ended up ordering. I'm a huge unicorn geek and I love anything that has to do with them or Pegasus... well actually horses in general, I don't own a horse but I have always wanted to so this packaging screams to me.

The swatch for Serpentina looked amazing and I was curious if it really would look that way in person so I ended up just picking up the whole collection since they had a discount if you bought everything. The collection included two Lipsticks and an Eyeshadow Palette, I will have a review later on once I finished swatching (yep I am that far behind still).
