Our hottest freebie at the moment is this wintery overlay.  Find it by clicking on the image.

Just a little more inspiration before you go.  Use your overlay directly over your favourite snowy picture or use a piece of paper to background it and write in a lovely sentiment and use it as a poster, card or a cover page or you could decorate your profile picture.

I started dabbling with design, myself and came up with this fall themed mini.

Free Placemat Template From The Cherry On Top

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

We're back with more hybrid ideas and cool free stuff, too.  Amanda Creation and BoomersGirl Designs are again, in the hot seat.  You'll get a look at some awesome digital goodies including Thanksgiving themed printables, inspiration and free items, too.  

Check out these great place mats for the upcoming holiday.

This placemat was designed with Happy Thanksgiving.  You can find it at My Memories.

The above placemat is a typical A3 size from Europe.  It's just the right size for the smaller kids at the table.  Of course, you can enlarge it as much as you like, depending on your printer or of course, you could choose a professional printer.

Amanda's store at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio is full of autumn and Thanksgiving themed kits and a whole lot more.

The placemat above is letter size, US version.  You may want to take a piece of paper in the size you can print and make sure that it's doable with the plates you are using.

Laminate your placemats if you want them water resistant or if you want to reuse them.

Perhaps you live somewhere where they don't celebrate Thanksgiving. The Cherry has you covered.  Use a basic template and change it exactly how you want or just print out as is.  This is a great way for the little ones to learn how to set the table.

Tag! The Cherry Is It!

Welcome to The Cherry On Top,

We are talking tags, today.  It's time enough to start thinking about gifts.  You may even think about gifts all year round and need tags for them.  You could go all out and make these into ornaments, too. How about a tag album?  Yay!  Those are so awesome.  Grab the download, choose your favourite tag and get creative.

Here is a tag I made last year for Christmas with a basic tag shape.

Here's a more recent tag with a totally different shape.  I purchased a couple sets of Commercial Use tag shapes because I love making tags,  hybrid, digi and traditionally.  You can find just about anything you need on Pinterest or a site like clker.com. 

This one below is a bit different.  I had it on a blog with manly eats.  There was a recipe for some kind of nuts that men love and I thought this would be great to go with the nuts.  Hehehe...

Just a couple other digital tags we've made.

These tags were made using some free templates from LouCee Creations that were available at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio.  It was for Christmas in July.

Here are several examples of different ways to use tags, done traditionally.

Tag your photos, literally!  Hehehe...

Make tags from old Christmas cards and put them on a gift.

Get dimensional and think texture.  Definitely use them on your layouts.

Recycle tags from clothes!  Especially, the really thick ones.

Add some ribbon and layer them babies up.

Make a mini from tag style pages and ring'm together.

Get glittery!  Ya gotta love the cherry on top.

Paper over a plant tag, add a picture and some frilly stuff for in a plant gift.

More different sized circle tags turned into a mini book.

Add tags to your mini projects.  Layer, glitter and add charms.  Delish!

A scrappy sister asked if I'd whip her up some tags for her daughter and of course, I obliged.  I figured if she could use them, maybe you could as well. I couldn't find any png images anywhere.

The variety is pretty good and there is so much you can do with them.  Enjoy and remember these are for Personal Use Only.  I don't make a penny doing all of this.  So if you'd please comment, share, Pin and + us, that'd be great!

Free Sweater Weather Template

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

We are back with more free templates.  Of course, we have inspiration and links for more free stuff.

Amanda Creation had an awesome 5 for $5 deal this past Digital Scrapbooking Day at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio.  One of the kits in the deal was this one, Sweater Weather.  I designed a pretty fun, geometric layout that I thought would make a nifty template.  The colour palette was also so warm and cozy, I couldn't resist. (I just looked a second ago and the deal was still on!)

THIS TEMPLATE IS NO LONGER FREE, BUT WILL BE AVAILABLE IN OUR KREATIVE DESIGN STUDIO ON FEBRUARY  9TH.

I scrapped some pictures of this smallish castle in Germany from a trip a few years back.  The colours somewhat reflect each other and the bare trees show cooler days.

Free Artsy Fartsy Template

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

I may have to work on my titles.  Hehehe...  We've got a fabulous, free template for you, today, the last day of our Digital Scrapbooking Week special.  I really wanted to do something different and was inspired by an image I saw on Pinterest.

This layout was my work and I didn't love it.  I do love the kit I used from Amanda Creation, Plant Seeds found at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio.  An artsy touch and fabulous colours.
