Gone missing but still Love You!

Hi there!

I feel I need to apologise for completely going missing of the crafting world, but then that will be all I will be doing from now on in my future posts, because truly right now I don't see me crafting and posting regularly like I did before. On the other hand, I still enjoy doing some crafting or colouring now and again, and even though some times I don't even stop to take pictures of all the other crafting that I'm doing, when it comes to Copic colouring and the use of stamps, I do feel that I want to post my efforts, and it seems that this is the right place to do it.

Therefore, here is my mini card, and I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed doing it.

Cheers

In this card I used Hannah Hearts, rubber stamp by Kraftin Kimmie.

Did I mention before that I had several Virgina's half coloured from when I did this no-line colouring tutorial for Copic Spain?? Well... I do, and I'm planing to use them in this year's Xmas cards. I'm happier with this one than with the one before =)

Hope you like it

Getting Started with Chrismas Cards

Hi there!

This year, the beginning of the school year has been hectic. I haven't done any colouring, crafting or anything. The other night I saw a card from the fantastic Deborah Deruyck at Deborah's Shining Cards, and I thought I'll try to scrap lift her, to see if I get into the mood of Xmas cards. This is what came out. I just need to remember that for some reason I don't like golden foiled paper.

Nuff said =P

Personalised Sandwich Containers for going back to School

Hi there!

Today I want to show you the personalised sandwich containers that I painted for my kids. We had never used them before, but thinking about reducing the amount of residues that we produce in the day to day, it seemed a good idea to use them. The problem, the difference in price between the plain ones and the ones with TV characters was for times the price of the former's, so... I told them I would craft they for them. If you are interested on the materials and layers that I used you can find the explanation further down.
Now, I'm not sure how long is this going to last... but so far it seems resistant and waterproof.

Hope you like it.

Rubber stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie.

Clear stamp from Penny Black with Mo's Digital Pencil images.

Now, for crafting this plastic containers,
first I used paper sand to prepare the area where I was going to paint.
Then, I used masking tape to protect the borders and added some layers of gesso.
I used Memento Luxe black ink for stamping my images on the background.
I realised that permanent ink would have been better but
I wanted to try with the supplies that I had in my stash.
Then I used Poska pens to colour the backgrounds, leaving the stamps in white.
Then I covered everything with a layer of gel medium.
It is now a good idea to use Copic markers on top of gesso because the tips absorb it and get ruined, but they are ok to use on top of gel medium, so now I am ready to colour my images.
Finally I covered everything with gel medium again to protect them
from the water and the rubbing that they will endure in their day to day use.

We'll see how long they last.,.

Hi there!

Today I have the honour of being Guest Designer at Crafting by Design on their new April Anything Goes challenge. I decided to do something different from a card, so I decorated this wooden letter for my little pirate's room.

Hope you like it.

Celebrate Love

Hi there!

It is challenge day at 613 Avenue Create. It is challenge #137 and the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist Anything Goes =P.

I had this lovely stamp from Kraftin Kimmie that I bought because it reminded me of a friend of mine in her wedding dress, so I made this tag with it to give to her in her wedding anniversary. I also had a new embossing folder to try and new watercolours (well, they are actually the kid's but I wanted to have a play ;)).

Hope you like it as I much as I liked doing it =)

In this tag: Rose by Kraftin Kimie. Embossing folder free with Simply Cards and Paper crafts magazine. White card, vellum, watercolours, sentiment stamp, alphabet stickers, lace, paper flower, flat back pearls.

Snowball Fairy

Hi there!

Today I want to show you my project for the current challenge at Copic Marker Spain.
After all those Christmas cards, I felt like doing something different. Our sponsor this month is Kraftin Kimmie, and when I saw that my lovely Snowball Fairy fitted in it, I decided to alter a box of cheese portions.

In this project: Patterned paper from Humphrey's Corner, pom-pom trim, lace, rick-rack ribbon, blue rafia cord, crochet snowflake, paper flowers, sequins, liquid pearls, glitter glue and a dewdrop.

Colouring details can be found here.

A view from the box side.

A view from the inside.

An a picture of the half decorated box, because I forgot to take one before starting =P.

Merry Christmas and Tutorial

Hi there!

This is my last card and my last post before Christmas and I want to take the chance to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and God Jul, or whichever other celebration to choose to hold.

I made this card with a Kraftin Kimmie rubber stamp that I bought in That Craft Place, coloured with the "no-line" technique. You can find a step by step tutorial on how I did it on this post at Copic Spain.

Hope you like it.

In this card: Patterned paper from BoBunny. Christmas card made with a leaf puch.
