CAS Christmas Text

I mixed a few challenges for this Christmas card....

Jingle Belles---The challenge is all about text this week. Stef and Lauren want words to be our focal point, so I grabbed this stamp from the Yule Bits and Borders set and let it take front and center.

'Tis The Season-- It's a color challenge this week ....Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White, with an optional trimming of brads. My text is stamped in Chocolate Chip and the DSP is Marina Mist and Chocolate Chip, backed with Whisper White with the card base Marina Mist. The candy dots in the corners are Whisper White.

Freshly Made Sketches-- As soon as I saw this weeks sketch I knew it would be the perfect way to highlight this stamp.

CCC14 at SCS-- The theme this month is to use non-traditional Christmas colors and I think those from the TTS challenge fit the bill. I made 4 of these cards, with 2 more ready to go when I get some more Marina Mist DSP.

Stamps: Yule Bits and Borders(retired), More Merry Messages(inside sentiment, not shown)

Christmas In Words

The challenge over at the Jingle Belles blog right now  is "Text Me" , and the focal point of your card should be some type of Christmas text. For some reason this challenge stumped me a bit, and I finally came up with this very simple card.

I used PP by K&Company, inked up the edges with Certainly Celery and put it on Very Vanilla cardstock. I then took a chipboard Christmas tree and adhered that to the left side of the card in order to keep the phrases on the paper the main focal point. I also added some SU brads under one of the quotes for a little more pop.

Supplies:
Paper: PP by K&Company, Very Vanilla
Ink: Certainly Celery
Accessories: Chipboard tree by Fancy Pants Designs, SU Brads, dimensionals, sponge
