Marker Liquid Eyeliners ~ Under $20!

Hi lovelies!  I'm super obsessed with marker eyeliners as of late, and thought I'd share some of my favorite picks to try them no matter your price point!  {Pssst the most expensive one here is only $20!}  Click the image to shop your fave!

Personally, my favorite is the Ardency Inn Punker.  What I love most about these types of liners is that the tip is so much more sturdy than that of a traditional liquid liner pen.  It goes on with the preciseness of a pencil but it's a liquid!  Win-win!

How to Fix Broken Makeup

Hi lovelies!  If you've ever dropped your compact only to have it look like the above left image, you're absolutely not alone.  I would normally throw it away.  But, there's a way to fix it, so it will be good as new!  It works for eyeshadows, blush, bronzer, etc.  You won't believe how easy it is, and best of all, I'm sure you've got all the objects you'll need on hand!

August Birchbox ~ What I Got

I think by now, Birchbox is a well known service and everyone knows about it, right?  If not, sign up immediately!  $10 a month gets you 4-5 deluxe samples!

Everything comes in the most adorable pink packaging!  And the monthly boxes are sturdy and I actually use them to organize my craft stuff.

So here's my box, opened up, and notice there are still a few things wrapped up!  It's so fun!

So this is my August box. Now I've been subscribing to Birchbox since February, and sadly, this is my least favorite box.  I really was not impressed with anything.  However, there's always a caveat!  The Anastasia Lash Lifting Mascara is absolutely AMAZING!!!  My lashes look longer, curvier, and not clumpy even with 2.5 coats!!!  I'm going to be trying this layered over my Cargo mascara I purchased after using up the sample in my February box, see the video post here.

Now I also haven't yet tried the Earthen Instant Peel or the Anastasia Line Erasing Serum, but the Atelier Orange Sanguine Cologne Absolue is absolutely amazing, albeit tres tres expensive.  At $145 a bottle, I won't be buying it lol!

So for what I did not like.  The Amika Oil Treatment is supposed to be along the lines of the cult favorite Moroccan Oil, which I swear by.  Now this little bottle LEAKED in the packaging, thank goodness it was wrapped up in tissue paper, but still.  When I went to try it out in lieu of my Moroccan Oil, it would not come out of the little plastic spout.  At all.  So I took the plastic spout out and just poured it into my hands.  It's ok, it works, but given the hassle with the sample, I don't want to deal with the full sized if it's going to be a pain in the ass.  It's in the same price range as my Moroccan Oil, I'll stick with it. :)

Now there's also this adorable hair tie, called a twistband, which sells for $5 for three.  Hair ties.  Now here's the best part, it's simply a piece of elastic, folded in half and knotted.  My jaw seriously dropped.  Whatever genius invented these is a millionaire off of others' stupidity.  Whoever buys them is silly, in my book.  So I decided to at least give it a shot, right?  The twistband's knot isn't very sturdy, so it tightens and tightens and moves towards the ends more as it does so.  What does that do for your ponytail / top knot?  If you guessed makes it fall you're correct!  Sorry twistband, I'll stick with my Scunci ties that don't slip and that I can buy 50 of for the price of three of your lousy pieces of knotted elastic.

So there you have it, my highly opinionated opinion.  I know it's late, but I just got my box last week (don't even get me STARTED on that one!)  I look forward to September's box, I think anything is better than this box that I received.

New Vlog! Urban Decay Makeup Haul!

Hello lovelies!!  Did you hit up Urban Decay's Friends and Family sale they had on their website last week?  25% off EVERYTHING!!  If not, sorry you missed out!  While I did not go overboard, I did get a few new things I'd love to share with you!

Also, let's discuss something.  Do you throw out all of your eyeshadows after 1 year?  I follow the 3 month rule with mascaras, but I can't seem to follow the 12 month rule with eyeshadows or lipsticks/lip glosses.  What do you think?  Help!!!

New Vlog! My Fave Newish Beauty Products

My Birchbox Obsession

Hiya lovelies!  Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been busy with the new job and hanging out with the family.  I wanted to share my newest obsession with Birchbox with you all!  If you have not heard of them, I highly recommend you check them out!  For $10/month, you get 4-5 handpicked generously sized samples delivered to your door!  These are amazing products by amazing brands!  I've tried products from brands I otherwise would never have encountered and have fallen in love with some fantastic, can't-live-without products.  Here is what I received the last three months:

The Ahava bath salts are to die for, as is the foot cream.  You can't really see the spoolie brush that was an extra in the March box, but I use it daily now, and do not know how I lived before I had one.  I am thoroughly addicted to the Pangea Organics lip balm as well as the Cargo Lash Activator mascara, and use those daily and in the case of the lip balm, hourly!

In April's box, I fell head over heels in love with the Chamomile tea and will be ordering more as I only have one more sachet left!  The Weleda rose moisturizer is so perfect and keeps my skin perfectly hydrated all day long!  I have yet to try the facial scrub and the Zoya nail polish, but will be soon!!  Also, the perfume sample is to die for, such a fresh and springy scent!

And here is May's box.  I've already fallen head over heels in love with the Ahava Mineral Hand Cream and have used nearly the whole tube!  The Stila eyeshadow is a lovely dark brown, perfect for application in the crease and outer corners for a subtle smoky daytime eye.  The Bvlgari perfume is heavenly and I have worn that a few times as well!
