Step-by-Step Layout

Hello and happy Thursday!  CTM Robin here with another Step-by-Step blog post.  Today I thought I’d show you a layout I made using one of Liz’s latest releases, Focal Point Templates 11.  I have used each and every one of her Focal Point templates and was super excited to see more added.  They are perfect templates when you need to scrap a large photo along with some smaller, detailed ones.  

For my layout, I chose this template:

I rotated and resized some photo spots and then clipped my photos into them:

Next, I added my papers from Adventure collection by Anita Designs, Rachel Etrog Designs, and Dunia Designs:

Followed by the elements and titles:

Finally, I placed journaling, and my layout was done!

Week 42 & 2 Hawaii Pages!

We had a great week at the beach. I had a hard time picking out which photos I wanted to share. I tried to pick out ones that showcased our whole family....because that's what it was about. Maybe I'll have to put together a little mini album for this trip. I also finished a couple more Hawaii pages. The second one actually showcases our first snippets of Honolulu.

Tiny Photo Templates have square-shaped photo spots to create a page that shows off your pictures in simplicity and style.

Focal Point Templates 11 have large faded mask feature photos with smaller accent photos in clusters.

Bold Background Cut Outs are great for digi and hybrid projects. There is a mix of backgrounds to help you add layers to your digital scrapbook page.

It's a local relief organization in my hometown that works very closely with the surrounding areas that have been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Week 39 - 41 & Another Hawaii Page!

Catching up today with a few pages I created over the past couple of weeks but didn’t have the time or Wi-Fi to share until now. It’s been an eventful few weeks! First, Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina, narrowly missing our town but still knocking out power, internet, and cell service for a few days. Then came the uncertainty of Hurricane Milton, leaving us wondering if we’d have to cancel our vacation plans. We held off deciding until the last minute but, after hearing that the area we were heading to was unaffected, we went ahead with the trip.

On a creative note, I managed to complete another Hawaii page—though it's more of a "waiting at the airport" page than a true Hawaii one!

It's GSO Time!

Can y’all believe it’s October already?  I can’t because that means the holiday season is almost here and I’m not ready for it!  Well, a new month means a new GSO blog post so I’m excited to bring this one to you today.  With DSD just here, Liz’s gallery is just FULL of gorgeous layouts.  I’m going to show you a few now:

This one by flowersgal is gorgeous. I love the painted background and the frames on her photos look just like the traditional scrapbooking I know and love!

Next is this one by fruitysuet.  I’m not sure who’s cuter, the cat or the little girl 😊 I love the paper choices she made and her repeated round shapes throughout the page are a perfect balance to those 90-degree angles!

I’m always in favor of good journaling so you know I had to show off this one by Aussiegirl.  Her story is so detailed, and I love that because we all think we will remember those moments, but we never do.  What a great page!

Remember when I mentioned how much I love journaling?  Check this layout by carrie1977.  I love that she’s captured her own thoughts about choices and that she’s not afraid to scrap those thoughts or that gorgeous selfie. Journaling really does help clear the mind so if you don’t want to tell a story, journal anyway because it’s cheaper than therapy!

Y’all, READ this journaling by Brendazzle   Her story is as beautiful as her great photograph.  She’s said she’s lucky to get this shot, but I think she’s more talented than she knows!  I love the circle around both the image and the text and the way she placed her stars and splatters perfectly mimic the Milky Way.
