2025: Deepest Sympathy

Hello again, sweet friends!
We have several friends and family that are experiencing loss at this time- it's so sad! And to top it off... I do not like making sympathy cards. They are the hardest for me to make!

I have to constantly find inspiration for my sympathy card designs, and this one was no exception. I found a card with three embossed panels that were inked and a simple sentiment. It was perfect... but my card was a bit smaller so I only used two panels;)

I pray for my friends and family that the Lord would cover them with His love, surround them with His presence, and comfort them with His peace during this difficult time 🙏🏻❤️

That's it for me today.

2025: Simon Says Stamp DieCember release

Hello again, sweet friends!
I'm so blessed to be joining in the fun with Simon Says Stamp and the NEW DieCember release

I received the Chunky A2 Scallop Rectangles dies--- which is PERFECT because scallops are PERFECT on ANY creation!
I created some foiled nameplates and tags using some Pink & Main foils and foilable toner sheets--- these could be used for the holidays but also for any gathering or present just by switching out the foil color and pattern design!
I also created a few cards- this first one is a CAS winter card using the SSS Stacked Holiday Sentiments set
The next two cards were created using the SSS Dahlia background stamp and Timeless Blossoms stamp set. These cards were supposed to be different... one a layered panel card and the other a shaker card. However, I messed up and accidentally taped down the panels before I remembered I was making one a shaker card🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 It's ok though because I love how each card turned out!

That's it for me today. Be sure to shop the NEW release HERE!

2025: 19 years with Trav- second card [card #304]

Hello again, sweet friends!
Click THIS link to see Trav's first anniversary card, themed with a YAM!

And because I love Travis so much... I made him another card for our 19th anniversary!

Another fun #SAVfact: I call everyone a goose when they do something silly (or annoying).

Trav and I true goose...gooses😂 but not because we are annoying... we are just silly! For example- Trav always thinks of fun things to do for our anniversary. This year I was ill and still in a boot, so traveling was not happening. Trav came up with an idea for something REALLY fun for us to do---- we were going to see a "show" a day! *Not every day was a real show... but we made it work!

Sunday- Men's Basketball game (I do not like sports but it was AWESOME! They went into overtime!)
Monday- Jazz Choir Ensemble concert
Tuesday- Palmetto Pans concert (think Jamaican steel drum concert)
Wednesday- we traveled to Greenville to see The Sound of Music (I've NEVER seen it before!!!)--- I also got ill that night :(
Thursday- Choir concert in an old church, mostly a cappella- lovely!
Friday- The Importance of Being Earnest (we saw this in a circular theatre--- very intimate and funny!)
Saturday- NeedToBreathe concert

Different and fun! Where the silly part comes in is that on Monday and Wednesday we also went to the COURTHOUSE! We always watch crime/law/court shows, and I've talked about going to the courthouse to see how a real case plays out. So Trav took me! I have to say that I feel bad for both cases tried those two days... they were sad situations that ended badly. But I will tell you that I learned a lot about court! We saw a jury selection, motions, pre-trial witnesses, and a plea deal. It was so interesting!

And here's how silly we are---- in one case, the state attorneys were looking at us with a side eye constantly. We were the only ones in the gallery "watching". After an hour and during a small break, one of the state attorneys came over to us and asked what we were doing. Our response: we are just observing! SILLY GOOSE!

I wish I could tell you MORE about our special day and all the fun things Trav plans for me, but you will just have to trust me that we are silly:)

That's it for me today.

2025: 19 years with Trav [card #303]

Hello again, sweet friends!
On November 10th, Trav and I celebrated 19 years of marriage. It feels like yesterday- I'm so blessed to be married to him <3

Fun #SAVfact: the first year we were married I found a Thanksgiving card I wanted to give to Trav (I made cards back then but wanted to give him something else because I wasn't confident in my cards just yet! LOL!). I looooooooooved the card sentiment and simplicity of it [see below]--- I YAM so thankful for you! The next year I found the SAME card and bought maybe 5-8 more because I wanted to give him one each year- that's how much I loved it!
Well... I still have two of those cards left because I ended up having a stamp created [probably illegal but Staples did it anyway! LOL!]. I use that stamp to make Trav cards all the time! I even had an idea that if we were ever having a baby that I would make him a card that said "I YAM pregnant"--- that never happened so I told him my secret card idea a few years ago. LOL! I'm sure he forgot about it! LOL!

This year for our anniversary I wanted to pull out the YAM again... but I had a different idea. We are remodeling my craft studio (see THIS post) and I picked up loads of paint chips for a fun decor idea in my studio. One of the paint chips was YAM... PERFECT:)

And that's how Trav's first anniversary card came about this year.

That's it for me today.

2025: With Sympathy [card #300 +301]

Hello again, sweet friends!

We've had so many friends and family who have experienced loss in the last month that I've had to create almost 10 sympathy cards😞
This first card was created for a friend who lost her dad. I love how this card turned out because the ink blended background was created when I worked for Imagine Crafts Tsukeniko almost 10 years ago! I saved that little design for *just* the right card!
This next card was my 300th card for 2025 (I just finished 328!). This pet sympathy card was for my sweet aqua fitness student and his family. He lost the sweetest pup a month ago. Broke my heart since we moved away and haven't seen any of the family for a year. I knew I had to send him a special card <3

I'm a bit behind in posting ... I'm going to try and catch up this week:) I also have loads to create... so be on the lookout👀

That's it for me today.

2025: Congrats [card #305]

Hello again, sweet friends!
I heard some AMAZING news a few weeks back and created this card for my friend to celebrate!

Unfortunately, I just sent it out this week 🤦🏼‍♀️

I ended up writing "open to celebrate" on the envelope because it is filled with die cut stars!

It's a simple design with a big celebration inside;) That's it for me today.

2025: Warm Winter Wishes [card #296-298]

Hello again, sweet friends!
I created some super easy holiday cards using the NEW Pink & Main Winter Wishes Word dies- one die set!

I know you can't see the detail on the snowflakes, but I added some Ice Rink glitter and Touch of Gloss to add some shimmer! It's so pretty in person!

I'm also sharing two different ways to make this card- one card has a full cardstock panel as the front base. The other card has a white base with a colored cardstock panel as the center focus. Both are pretty!

That's it for me today.

2025: Graphic Quilted card design [card #306]

Hello again, sweet friends!
#SAVfact: if you know me, then you know that I don't use product the way it's supposed to be used... I tend to think outside the box and use product in different ways. It's just how I "see" things :)

That's what I did with the Pink & Main Fun Corner dies- when I saw this set, I saw a quilted graphic flower design.

Now the #funnyNOTfunny part of this story is that I had just read a post on FB. The post shared something I had created, and it stated that what I did for my project wasn't how the product was intended. I was embarrassed and ashamed. I felt like an idiot. I didn't know I used it wrong! **NOTE: NO ONE intentionally said these things to hurt me/my feelings! I am just sensitive! Well... after seeing that post, I wrote the DTC and told her I would immediately start using the product as it was intended! I promised!

... but...

The VERY NEXT card I made was THIS! OY! I just can't use product the way it was supposed to be!

That's it for me today.

2025: THANK YOU so much [card #315]

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving, sweet friends!

Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday- that's one of the reasons why Trav and I got married in November😍

I love the food.
I love being with family.
I love having seconds of the food (I said I loved the food! LOL!).
I remember looking through the newspaper for the Black Friday ads and planning my shopping spree for the next day- oh how fun the good ol' days were!

Thanksgiving is also my FAVORITE holiday because I have so much to be thankful for--- my life, my husband, my marriage, my dog, my church, my friends... I have loads to be thankful for.

Another thing I'm thankful for is YOU! This card is for YOU!
And while I'm thankful for YOU.... I still struggle😞

Recently I've been pretty down. I have struggled to find the joy in creating because it's no longer about just creating... it's about social media.

For the past seven years [possibly more] I've struggled with my blog and social media. I hate how it's changed over the years. It used to be fun writing blog posts, adding all the details and sharing your heart for creating or sharing more about your life. Social media was a way to connect with other crafters and friends. It was real (or at least that was how I shared my stuff).

Now... everything is based on likes, comments, or shares that you have. It's all about an algorithm.

I started a hashtag #washeduphasbeencrafter and #washeduphasbeen because I'm washed up; I'm a has been. I'm no longer seen because I don't fit the algorithm.

I struggle to get my creations seen. I struggle to create "trending" reels or posts. I struggle to keep my views up and this jeopardizes the design teams that I am currently on. How can I possibly keep a job on a team if I get ONE "like" per creation? How could a company want me on a team if no one sees my project or buys from the link I share (which I also hate- I hate those affiliate links! I don't think companies should have to pay us for how many clicks we get on a link... maybe it's because I don't get any clicks... but either way- I've never liked these affiliate programs!)?

Social media and all the demands of "likes"/etc. have caused me to question and not be thankful. It's easier to see the negative than the blessings. I see a small number of "likes" or comments... but it is a blessing that even ONE person would want to leave a comment or share my projects

I see the threat of being fired from my teams... but it's been a true blessing to be considered a part of a team and work with companies for over 10 years

I see how low I get when I compare myself on social media... but I need to remind myself that I create for the joy of it... for the smile that is found on recipients' faces when they open an envelope to find a handmade card... for the gift of giving cards... I need to remind myself that I am a child of God- loved, creative, gifted, blessed

I'm thankful for YOU because you continue to show up despite my blogging breaks... despite my "likes" or trending posts... YOU continue to love, encourage, and support me despite social media algorithms.

(sigh)

Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday--- I'm thankful, truly I am. I'm just struggling a bit this year (and for several years). THANKS for everything!

I guess that's it for me today. Thanks for listening to my rant and reflection.

Hello again, sweet friends!

I'm back with another P&M creation using the NEWEST goodies 👉🏻 be sure to shop the SALE HERE!!!!!!!
I paired the NEW Bold Bright Color toner sheets with the Hello die from the Horizontal Step Card die set to make a CAS friendship card base.

I thought it needed just a bit more... so I added an embossed sentiment [using Sangria embossing powder] from the On My Mind stamp set. I thought it needed just ONE MORE detail so I added a few enamel dots from the Bright Side Glitter enamel shapes set

PERFECT! It was complete;)

That's it for me today.

2025: Emmanuel [card #312]

Hello again, sweet friends!

**Do not mind the very BLUE photo! I cannot figure out my camera settings and the natural sun right now! OY!

When I make my holiday cards, I love focusing on the REAL meaning of CHRISTmas. The NEW Erin Lee Creative holiday release is the PERFECT way tot add Christ into my Christmas cards!

This CAS Christmas card focusses on why Christ came- He is Emmanuel, God with us! Praise the Lord🙌🏻

I think my supplies for this card are more complex than the card design itself 🤣 I mixed and matched a few companies including:
I wish I could have captured this card better- that Mai Tai Cocktail Shimmer paper is sooooooooo beautiful with this dark (it doesn't look dark but it is! LOL!) navy! This just shines the LIGHT! It points straight to CHRIST! I love it!

That's it for me today.

2025: Pink & Main March Monthly Calendar

Hello again, sweet friends!
I have really enjoyed setting up my Pink & Main planner--- but this is my FAVORITE layout!

I love this monthly layout because it's GREEN! The idea came to me when I was sitting at my makeshift studio desk (this was before my countertops were installed)... I was sitting at my desk, trying to think of a way to make this layout different from all the other pages we've made the last three months. And then it hit me--- COLOR IT! So I pulled out some Copic markers and added a bit of coloring to the monthly page. It was perfect!

I also love the rub-ons- so easy to use, and they really make this page POP!

And I also loooooooooooove that little March character paperclip [P&M Calendar Cuties stamp/die set]! I love adding more and more of these paperclips to my planner each month and with each layout:)
I haven't filled out the monthly details because I am *hoping* I can start doing a monthly recap each month on IG with a reel or video.... we will see if that happens! LOL!

That's it for me today.
