I really enjoyed Asher and Phoebe's romance. I especially loved Olivia, Asher's young daughter, and it was great to see she and nanny Phoebe form such a bond right from the beginning. The author did a great job presenting Olivia's hearing impairment and her use of ASL. There was such heat between Asher and Phoebe, and I really liked how the author had the characters deal with a difficult situation they were presented with.

WOW! I listened to the audiobook for You Loved Me Once and I cannot gush enough about how fantastic it was. Julia Whelan did an amazing job with her narration. The book is more than romance, although the heroine is involved with someone. The focus is more on her career and challenging situation that come up when her personal and professional life collide. I am definitely going to go back and re-listen soon- it was just that good.

I originally read Say You Want Me back when it was released in 2016 and loved it- small town romances are my jam. I just finished the audiobook and it made the story even BETTER than I remembered. Sophie Eastlake and Zachary Webber were so good and believable in their performances. This story has a poignant and emotional element to it, but in true romance fashion, our hero Wyatt and heroine Angie do get their happily ever after. I listened at 1.3x, as I typically do, and found that narration speed to be perfectly conversational.

My review: 5 stars!So good! Stay for Me was my favorite of the series- I loved Jacob and Brenna together. Her kids were darling. Both leads had areas in their life with self-doubt and neither were looking for a relationship when they met, which made it feel all the more authentic. I loved getting to see the other brothers from the first three books in the series- each has a terrific story with their own HEA. Sad to see this series end, but I know author Corinne Michaels will have something else fantastic for us soon!

My review: 4 stars!Corinne Michaels never disappoints, and her Arrowood Brothers series is so good! Friends to lovers is a favorite trope of mine, and pair that with a baseball player and I'm IN! I loved Devney and Sean together- swoon! Of course, there were angsty moments too and the tragedy they dealt with was truly heartbreaking. So many tears! Looking forward to the next book in the series.

“Don’t play that crap with me, Sean Arrowood. I know you better. You want the wife and kids. You always have. The issue that you have is that you’re stupid.”
“Stupid?”
She nods. “Yup. S-T-U-P-I-D. And dumb.”
“They mean the same thing.”
“It required the extra punctuation at the end.”
God, I love the side of her that is smart-mouthed, fearless, and relaxed. She’s only this way with me. Or at least, that’s what I’d like to think.
The last ten years have been hard on our friendship. We both went off to college, I had baseball and she was studying. We’d see each other on breaks, but after the accident that changed the trajectory of my life, I stayed in Maine, and we rarely saw each other.
However, when I had a series in New York, Devney came. If I was in Philly, she would find a way to meet me, and I flew her down to Tampa a few times.
Now, though, I’ll be around her so much more, and I know these feelings aren’t going to go away, they’ll get stronger.
Yeah, I guess I really am stupid.
“Well, I may be stupid, but at least I’m not settling.”
She sits up, slapping her hand on the couch cushion. “Settling?”
“Yeah. You may love Oliver, but he doesn’t make you crazy.”
Devney shifts back. “You’re making me crazy right now.”
“Good.”
“You’re infuriating!”
I shrug. “You love me.”
“It helps that you’re hot.” Devney quickly covers her hand over her mouth. “I did not mean it that like that.”
I grin and lean toward her. “You think I’m hot?”
“I think you’re mediocre. God knows your harem of . . . whatever you call them . . . think you are.”

I lean closer and her eyes study my movement. With a trembling hand, I cup her face and brush my thumb against her soft skin. Everything freezes around us as I feel the warmth emanating from her.
