Noodles Nail Polish Spring 2021 Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi everyone! It's my birthday!!! No, nothing exciting is going on...I had to work all day and have no other plans, but I do get to see my parents later in the week! It's been a whole 10 months since I've seen them, and it will be so nice to be around someone besides my husband and tiny group of co-workers (no offense to them). If you had asked me last year on my birthday whether or not we'd still be in this position over a year later, I would have said no way. Alas, maybe we're getting just a little closer to the finish line.

Tonight I've got the new 8-piece collection (7 new and 1 throwback release) from Noodles Nail Polish to share with you. It features 6 crellies in various shades and 2 glitter toppers. This set will be available this Friday, April 16th at 6 PM EST on the Noodles website. All polishes will retail for just $9.50 each. This is going to be a picture-heavy post, so we should get going.

Right on the Nail ~ Polish 'M Glitter Topper Prototypes Swatches and Review: Prototypes 12, 18, and 19

Hi guys! Yesterday was my birthday and it was a pretty dreary day around here. Once 30 hits, birthdays aren't really as exciting anymore, am I right? Tonight I have the last 3 glitter prototypes from Polish 'M that feature very different glitters. Unfortunately, I think only Prototype 18 is currently available for $6 so make sure to check that out. There are still many polishes still on sale at Polish 'M. Pictures anyone?

Right on the Nail ~ KBShimmer Discontinued Polishes from Mystery Bag: Band Geek and Proud Peacock

Hi guys! Is it just me or is this week crazy already? Work has been over-the-top busy for some reason and I can't wait for things to settle down (I don't know when that's going to happen though). Oh the bright side, my family is going to come visit this weekend, and the weather should cooperate. Tonight I have the second set of discontinued KBShimmer polishes, so let's get to it.

Right on the Nail ~ SinfulColors Summer 2015 Street Fusion Collection Reviews and Swatches: Otaku Anime and Paste-erd

SinfulColors Otaku Anime (2 coats) over 1 coat yellow creme

SinfulColors Paste-erd (1 coat) over 2 coats white

*press samples*

I'm back from DC! I was so exhausted last night that I didn't have a chance to blog. Sorry! So many pens and so little time. I feel like I took a million pictures, but none with my phone. I do have a haul photo on my Instagram and Twitter. I'm back today with a couple more polishes from the SinfulColors summer line. Otaku Anime is a sheer yellow shimmer that will either need 4 coats over no polish or 2 coats over a white or yellow polish. I used a yellow creme as underwear, but if you don't mind VNL or have short nails, you may use it alone. The formula was a bit thin, so be careful of pooling, Despite it being sheer, I think it's a perfect bright yellow.

The second polish I have is called Paste-erd which is a glitter topcoat with black and light blue hexagonal glitter and a sprinkling of black bar glitter in a clear base. Some are not a fan of bar glitter, but I tend to like it and it's not the focal point. I used it over a bright white, but I could see this over lots of different colors. It was fairly glitter dense and I didn't even get any bubbling at all.

You can find this collection now at your local Walgreens, Rite Aid and other mass retailers for only $1.99. Make sure to look for sales that only make them $0.99. Also check out SinfulColors on TwitterInstagram and Facebook.

Right on the Nail ~ LynB Designs Wonderland Collection Swatches and Review: The Queen's Roses

LynB Designs The Queen's Roses (3 coats)

Happy Saturday? This is a question because I am here at work on a Saturday for a full 8 hours. Oh, and I don't get a day off for another 3 days or so which means I have to go at least 8 days without any time off. Boo! It's that time of year for all the work apparently.

I've had this LynB Designs polish in my stash for months now. I'm not sure why it took me so long to swatch it, but here it is. The Queen's Roses comes from the Wonderland Collection for the Alice in Wonderland theme. It's a white base with red and silver hexagonal glitter and a small sprinkling of short, red bar glitter. Even those of you who hate bar glitter probably won't mind this small amount. I dunno, I love this one more in pictures than I do in real life. It's not as striking of a white in person, so perhaps I should have used some bright white undies with it. Haha! The formula was fine, but a bit sheer in 3 coats. Overall, this isn't my favorite LynB Design polish, but it's still fun.

Right on the Nail ~ Rainbow Honey Swatches and Review: Frozen Flame

Rainbow Honey Frozen Flame (2 coats) over a Sally Hansen Green

Hello hello! I've been swatching the Zoya Satins, so stay tuned for those this week. If you love soft shades, you will love this 6-piece collection. Tonight I have something completely the opposite of the Zoya Satins, and that is Rainbow Honey Frozen Flame which is a party in a bottle. Basically it has gold and holographic bar glitter of different sizes, as well as multiple colors of hexagonal glitter. I meant to post this as a fun topper for New Year's Eve, but I completely forgot about it. This did not come in a mystery bag; I bought the Frozen Flame Set which included things like lotion, cuticle oil, and body spray all with the Frozen Flame scent. I was happy that with 2 coats the polish didn't get really thick like some Rainbow Honey polishes can get (perhaps because this was a full sized bottle?). Currently Rainbow Honey is closed, but will open shortly for the February restock.

Chloe & Bella Autumn 2014 Collection Swatches and Reviews Part I

*press samples*

Chloe & Bella Fall Dahlia (2 coats) over 3 coats Morgan Taylor Simply Spellbound

Wow, we're starting off with a glitter bomb! Fall Dahlia is a fuchsia and yellow based glitter polish in a clear base with tons of circle, hexagonal, square, and holo glitters. This is really dense, but you can still pretty much apply it like regular polish without too much dabbing. We're off to a great start!

Chloe & Bella Strawflower (3 coats)

Strawflower is an orange jelly with tons of gold holographic glitter (of different kinds) as well as gold stars. You can layer this over another orange, but I have 3 coats on here and it fully covered. There's so much depth to this one, and it may be one of my favorites of the collection. This is another polish that you can apply regularly without any dabbing.

Chloe & Bella Sunflower (2 coats)

Oh yes, I used this combination for Batman. You know this! Sunflower is a bright yellow glitter topper in a clear base with hints of light brown glitter accents. It even has some of my favorite tiny bar glitter! Like the rest of the polishes, this is a mix of different sizes and shapes of (mostly) yellow matte glitter. This was perfect application with 2 coats.

So far, the first half of the autumn collection is bright and fun! I love that Barbara uses flowers for her inspiration for collections. The polishes are a great value at $6.95 each in very professional looking bottles. You can find them on their websitePinterestInstagramTwitter, and Facebook pages, respectively. Check back tomorrow for the final 3 colors!

Maybelline Color Show Street Art Collection: Green Graffiti

Maybelline Green Graffiti (2 coats) over 2 coats Sation Chatty Catty

While at my local Walmart (I hate them), I found the Street Art collection from the Maybelline Color Show line in the permanent display. I'm not 100% if they are actually permanent (I think they are), but they feature fun glitters such as Green Graffiti shown here over Sation. It's a lime green and black glitter with small and large hexagonal glitters and only green, short bar glitters. I found the glitter density to be pretty good with 2 coats shown here. These things are cheap, so I definitely recommend them if you can find them in the permanent display.

Sinful Colors Holiday 2013 Holiday Tinsel Collection Swatches: Silver Rainbows and Spiked Ice

SinfulColors Silver Rainbows (2 coats) over 2 coats SinfulColors Cold Leather

SinfulColors Spiked Ice (1 coat) over 2 coats SinfulColors Innocent

*press samples*

SinfulColors wasn't done with their holiday collections because they have 2 more out right now called Holiday Tinsel and Sheer Lustre Glitter. You can find these exclusively at Walgreens for $1.99 right now. The first polish I have is called Silver Rainbows which is a holographic bar glitter topcoat that had thicker strands than the second polish I have to show. This one wasn't as glitter dense and needed 2 coats. It was also easier to dab the polish on due to the thickness of the polish.

The second polish is pretty cool and is a pure black bar glitter topcoat that had thinner strands and lots more of them. You really need to be careful when applying this because it likes to group in certain places and stay there so you have to work fast. It also tends to stick over the ends of the nails, so make sure to take off any over the nail edge or you're going to get poked. This one was extremely glitter dense and needed a thin coat for adequate coverage. I didn't mean for this one to look so Halloween, but oops. You like these glitter topcoats? FYI, you can also follow SinfulColors on Twitter or their Facebook page to find out more information.

China Glaze Holiday 2013 HoliGlaze Collection: So Blue Without You and Bells Will Be Blinging

Happy Christmas Eve! I hope you are safe with your families, getting ready for Christmas Day and eating a ton of food. I thought it was appropriate to finally start swatching the China Glaze holiday collection called HoliGlaze since I have all of them to show.

China Glaze So Blue Without You (2 coats)
Up first is So Blue Without You which is a beautiful blue foil shimmer. The formula was perfect in just 2 coats.

China Glaze Bells Will Be Blinging (1 coat) over 2 coats So Blue Without You
Bells Will Be Blinging is in the same color family as So Blue Without You, so I decided to use it as a topcoat. It's a blue and gold glitter with holographic bar glitter. The bar glitter might not bother some of you because it's the thicker, shorter glitter instead of the long strings. The glitter density was really good, and I only needed to use 1 coat for what is shown here. I love these 2, and they may be my favorites of the collection.

Essie 2013 Holiday Encrusted Treasures Swatch: Peak of Chic

Essie Peak of Chic (1 coat) over 2 coats Smooth Sailing

I've been saying it for a few weeks now: if I get 750 Google followers I will be having a giveaway (I'm only 9 away!). This will include a Morgan Taylor polish and some China Glaze polishes (perhaps more if I can scrounge some up). If you enjoy my blog, please support by following me in any way possible. It's basically the only true gauge of how I'm doing as a blogger. Thanks everyone!

As you can see earlier, I posted good ol' Smooth Sailing to use as a base color for Peak of Chic from the Encrusted Treasures collection. I thought I was done with that collection, but I do love me some bar glitter so I just had to pick it up. It contains both white and holographic fine bar glitter (it's not too thick), but you definitely need to be careful of it hanging over the edge of your nail because I had to file some of them down. Also, the application could be better. The hand shown here is pretty uniform, but on my right hand, the dispersion was just all over the place. Some places I had no glitter, some it was choke full and I couldn't move it around anymore. It's a fun polish, but you will definitely need patience with it.

Thanksgiving Day Manicure Featuring Julep's Candace and China Glaze 2013 On the Horizon Swatch Flying South

Julep Candace (2 coats)

Candace over 1 coat of

Happy Thanksgiving! 2013 has been a pretty crappy year, but there are still things to be thankful for. I'm thankful for every single one of you who has come to my blog. If it weren't for you, this blog probably wouldn't still be around (I don't like to disappoint people). In other words, you guys keep me going. Sometimes I don't have much to say in my posts like I used to, but that's likely because I don't have many positive things to say. Anyway, thank you.

I got rid of my Julep Maven box so you won't be seeing too many more Julep polishes after I finish my last 2 boxes I didn't want. Right here is Candace which is a brown shimmer and then I decided to put Flying South from the China Glaze On the Horizon collection that sneaked out this fall on top. Flying Fall is the "feathered" bar glitter in orange and tan with coppery microglitter. I thought this combination felt very fall to me and Lucy from Peanuts thought it looked pretty as well.

Again, Happy Thanksgiving!
