One of the BBC commentators said that a winter games athlete had started on the “Plastic Slopes of Pendle” and somehow this stuck with me.

So this pattern is my little tribute to all those who don’t let little things like a lack of snow get in their way of dreaming big ….

And to continue the “something from nothing” theme, for this you can use leftovers (DK and worsted) and yet make something special.

Mine was made with a little point like a beret, but you can also make a classic beanie.

Instructions are both charted and written, so you can choose which you like best.

Allow approx. 70m/80 yds of each of 3 contrasting yarns.
