Emma from My Creative Time is celebrating 12 days of Holiday projects! Today I wanted to share a card I created using the adorable Christmas House stamp set. The house stamp is 2-1/2" x 2" and the greeting is 2" long. It's the perfect size for a greeting card! My finished card is 6" x 6". I could have gone smaller and the elements would have all fit but I loved the papers so much that I wanted to show as much as possible. As usual, all of the pretty glitter isn't visible in the photo. I wish it showed up better in pictures!

Monster Munch Treat Wrap Tutorial
For today's challenge at My Creative Time, I created this little monster treat wrap. The wrap was created using the MCT Tag Dies. The super cute greeting is from the MCT All Around Halloween stamp set. If you haven't been to Emma's site, you REALLY need to head over there. Her greetings sets are so wonderful and the wide array of cutting dies are fantastic!
This little "bat creature" looks kind of like a friendly Sesame Street monster, don't you think?
Supplies Needed:
Nestabilities Ovals die set
Big Shot (or other die cutting machine)
1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch
1/2" Circle punch
Word Window punch
Kaisercraft Candy Lane 6" paper pad
Shimmery White card stock
Basic Black card stock
Pumpkin Pie ink pad
Melon Mambo ink pad
Basic Black ink pad
uni-ball white gel pen
Black zig pen
dimensionals
Assembly Instructions:
Step 1
Die cut 2 ovals (2nd from inside) out of pink dot paper. Starting on the outside edge, punch the 1/2" circle. Continue across, punching with the 1/2" circle to create the bat wing. Repeat for the other bat wing. Sponge the edges of finished pieces with melon mambo ink.
Step 2
Die cut an oval (2nd from outside) from orange print. Punch a word window from orange print and cut in half. Sponge edges of orange pieces with pumpkin pie ink. Punch 1-3/4" scallop circle from pink print and cut into 3 scallop wedges. Sponge the edges of 3 pieces with melon mambo ink for feet and fur on top of head. Punch out 1/2" circle from pink print for nose (optional). Die cut 2 ovals (smallest) from shimmery white cardstock for eyes. Punch two 1/2" circles out of black for eyes.
Step 3
Glue legs onto body. Attach wings onto back of body with dimensionals. Glue pupils onto eyes and add white highlights. Attach eyes and nose with dimensionals. Draw mouth with black pen (tip: use a die cut oval and trace the lower edge for a uniform look). Attach feet to bottom of legs with dimensionals. Attach fur to head with dimensional.
Step 4
Die cut 2 tags from green stripe paper (or other print of choice). Score at 1" from the scalloped edge on each tag. Add sticky strip to 1" section on one of the tags. Attach the tags end to end. Tape a fun size candy bar or small treat bag on inside of candy wrap. Stamp greeting onto green print paper (tip: for rounded end, I slid the paper into an oval punch from the bottom side). Punch a small hole on end of tag and thread a ribbon through the tag and holes on top of tags. Tie close. Attach monster with dimensionals.

Showcase Card Technique
Today I have the feature over at My Creative Time and I'm going to show you how to create a Showcase Card. I used the awesome Fly Me Away collection. There is an image set, sentiment set and die set. You may recall the circus tent with baby elephant card I made a couple weeks ago HERE. At that time I said I would try and come up with the tutorial once I perfected the technique. Here is my first version of the technique. Down the road, I'll share an A2 size card which may be a little tricky given the smaller size. This finished card when folded flat is 6" x 6" in size. You will notice that the front frame is smaller than the back on the easel. I did this so that when it's folded flat, it's exactly 6x6. If you want to make the front frame the same size as the back, you can. Just note that when it folds flat, it will be larger than 6x6. Of course, if you don't plan on putting it in an envelope, it doesn't matter! Please download the step by step tutorial in pdf format. The link is below the picture.

Mustache Man Punch Art
It seems that mustaches are all the rage lately, so I was excited to see the newest stamp set and die combo from My Creative Time. The set is called What's Growing On? It features a collection of fun greetings to go along with a coordinating die of different mustaches and a pair of glasses.
I instantly knew I wanted to create a fun punch art face. I was elated to see that the glasses fit the 2-1/2" Circle perfectly!
To make the man, here are the pieces you need to punch out:
2-1/2" Circle from Pink Pirouette (head)
2 Wings from Bird Builder in Pink Pirouette (ears)
Small Oval in Pink Pirouette (nose)
(2) 3/4" Circles in white (eyes)
(2) 1/2" Circles in Baja Breeze (eyes)
(2) 3/8" Circles in black (from Itty Bitty Shapes) (eyes)
Die cut 2 mustaches from chocolate chip card stock. Die cut glasses from black card stock. Round out points on bird wings for ears. Sponge edges of all pink pirouette pieces with Blushing Bride ink. Sponge edges of blue eye pieces with Island Indigo ink. Layer eye pieces and add highlights with unibal white gel pen. Add highlight to nose.
Glue glasses onto face. Glue eyes into glasses. Attach nose with dimensional. Glue ears onto back of head. Glue mustache onto face, slipping under nose. Attach hair to head with dimensionals. Draw line for mouth under mustache.
Head is attached to card using an Action Wobble Spring. To see how these move, check out my blog post HERE.

My Creative Time 3-D Wednesday
It's time for another 3D challenge at My Creative Time. The design team has some great projects to share HERE. For my project, I was inspired to modify the free standing pop up card technique to make a picture frame. The step by step tutorial for the free standing pop up card is located HERE. To make the frame, you need to cut the slot wider and make a gate fold picture frame to attach to the pop up. For the instructions, please see the downloadable tutorial below the pictures. I used the Happy Hunting stamp set from My Creative Time for the fun greeting. Check out this super cute set HERE.

I am so thrilled to share these new stamps images (and egg die) from My Creative Time. If you came here from Veronica's blog, then you are on the right track. If you are just starting here, you'll definitely want to start at the beginning HERE. I instantly fell in love with the bunny silhouette stamp from the Hello Spring set. This set has 13 stamps and comes with a coordinating egg die. My greeting came from the Happy Hunting set. My card is a diorama card. It's 2 inches thick but folds flat for mailing. Details are below. Leave a comment for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to the My Creative Time store. A name will be drawn from each stop in the hop. Then, those names will go into the grand prize drawing. There are 19 stops so you have lots of opportunities to win! Shop the brand new online store for 10% off your entire purchase through the 24th. Use the code GRANDOPENING at check out.
Card Details:
For the basic tutorial on a Diorama card, see the tutorial on SCS HERE. The dimensions on my card are different. For the front and back layer, cut 9-3/4" x 5" pieces of Pool Party card stock. For the center section, cut a 7-3/4" x 5" piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock. I used the Everyday Enchantment designer series papers for the center layer and eggs. For the window, I used the Spellbinders Label 23. For the sun on the back layer, punch a 1" Circle from So Saffron. Cut several strips for the sun rays. Sponge edges with cajun craze ink. Tear a couple pieces of Pear Pizzazz card stock and sponge edges with old olive ink for the hillside. On the front of the card, I die cut some grass strips for behind and in front of the eggs. The eggs were die cut from the die that is included with the Hello Spring set.
This is a picture from the side so you can see the dimension. It looks really neat in person.
Check out these gorgeous sets!
