Always Right - Mixed Media Framed Art

Thanks for stopping by today!  This week, it's my day to share a tutorial on the Joggles Blog, I created a Mixed Media Art Piece using Joggles Stamps, Stencils and Sticky Snippets along with Dylusions Paints/Sprays and the GelPress Plate.

If you look closely as this weeks tutorial, you'll notice my naked nails this week, lol! After the past few Mixed Media Tutorials, I opted for no nail polish this week, as the paints/stains and Gesso were taking a toll on my hands!

I also want to mention that because I'm working with Sprays this week, you'll not only want to be sure to fully cover your work station, but you might want to be sure to wear an apron or old clothes (ask me how I know, lol)!  And because I tend to use my fingers a lot rather than a brush, you might opt for gloves, as my hands get inky!

You can see my step by step tutorial on the Joggles Blog, I've also posted a photo video on YouTube.

Alcohol Ink Tin Tutorial

Thanks for stopping by, today I'm sharing a quick and easy Tutorial using the eBrush and Alcohol Inks.

Here's my finished tin:

Supplies:
Craftwell eBrush
Inks - Alcohol Inks
Other - Non Stick Craft Mat, Tin

Be sure to cover your work station, or work on a Non Stick Craft Mat.  You may also want to wear old clothes or gloves, as the Alcohol Ink does tend to spread. You can easily remove the Alcohol Ink from your hands or any other surface using Ink Blending Solution.

Place a drop of alcohol ink on the tin

Use the eBrush to spread the alcohol ink, blow the air until the ink is dry.

Continue this process with additional colors of alcohol inks, until the tin is
covered.

Let tin dry, embellish as desired.

You can use this same method to create fun backgrounds on Glossy card stock, or use it to decorate some Easter Eggs!

Thanks for stopping by.

Love You - Flip Book Album

I've been creating these 4" x 4" Flip Book Albums since 2007!  Today I'm sharing a one I created with the eBrush, Spectrum Noir Markers and Teresa Collins papers, dies and embossing folders.

Here's my finished Album:

Supplies:
Craftwell eBrush with Spectrum Noir AdapterTeresa Collins Cut'n'Emboss
Card Stock - Pink
Ink - Gathered Twigs
Other - Spectrum Noir Markers, Teresa Collins Dies: Honeycomb, Personally Noted, Pocket Dies, Teresa Collins GlamFactor Paper Collection, Teresa Collins Embossing Folder (Design Grids) Not Shown: DecoArt Matte Medium, Dimensionals, Sponge Brush, Binding Machine

You can find a original tutorial here from 2007, when I first created a tutorial for these fun albums.

Using a Foam Brush, apply DecoArt Matte Medium to chipboard and adhere card stock.

Next, adhere patter paper to the covers as shown.

Using the eBrush, Spectrum Noir Adapter and Markers, spray the inside of the embossing folder.

Place White card stock inside folder, close and lightly press down with your fingers to transfer the inked embossing folder pattern to your card stock.  This is a wonderful way to get extra mileage out of your embossing folders to created your own background papers.

Repeat process with remaining White card stock, be sure to clean the embossing folder when done.

Adhere pattern paper and printed card stock to the card stock album pieces.

Using a Binding Machine, bind your album.

Using the Cut'n'Boss and Therese Collins Dies, die cut the dies from card stock and pattern paper as desired.

Use the eBrush and Spectrum Noir Markers to add additional depth to the die cut pieces.

Decorate and embellish your Album as desired.
