Our 15 years Anniversary

It's kind of weird and surreal but we have been married for 15 years.
I could write a long love post but really 15 years speak for themselves.
Marriage is hard work and it's worth it and after all those years I still love him more than anything else.

Positive thoughts, Thanksgiving printable

I have been trying to be thankful this month and there is few things that help me. Every day before going to sleep I think about all the things that happened that day and I fall asleep with good thoughts and a grateful heart. It can be little things like chocolate I had that day, a text from a friend, a kiss from hubby. I have noticed that even though I don't see my problems necessarily going away because really for some I have no control over them, I notice the positive more and I do want to be like that. I want to be a positive person and a happier person. It's all about how you see your life. Not what is in it. Positive thoughts attract positive in your life. I made a printable for you. I think it would be cute framed or used for a card for a friend.
Do you have tips to be happy? Or more positive?
Have you tried a gratitude journal?

Hope you enjoy! For personal use only please!

Merci

I was watching The movie "saints and soldiers" this week. Such a reminder for me of soldiers who sacrificed their lives so I can have freedom.
When the American army delivered Paris, my Grand-Pa was in jail for talking too much politics (I must have that in my blood. Very opinionated and not ashamed of it)
He had lost all his hair and teeth. My Grand-Ma and her Mom had been starving.
This memorial day let's not forget why all those man died.
Merci
Merci

Dreams and courage quote

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them
I always try to have goals and dreams to pursue and I work at it. It's up to us really to make things happen. I dream of a cute and charming house, a fit body I can be proud, a great marriage, happy kids, great friends.  For some it is a long lifetime on going dream to work on, like with a marriage and happy kids and for the rest it may be short but we should never stop dreaming ever. It takes some courage to do anything to and I really believe that if things were not hard we would not even care.
Do you have dreams? Give me some advice how you make them happen...
Love,
Isabelle

What does being a mom means to me

Being a Mom means lots of kisses, hugs and love.
Making her feel wanted, cared for.
Holding her when she sleeps because I am too tired to do anything else.
Having my life on hold to watch her grow.
No shower and messy hair.
Lack of sleep.
Dressing her cute and looking like crap.
Dressing up and nowhere to go.
Running out the door by myself and feeling on vacation.
Catching her when she falls.
Laughs, funny faces and sounds.
Making a cardboard house, painting her nails.
Eating bananas, cheese and on the go apple sauce.
Seing her feeding the dog her food.
Grabbing everything, pushing everything, pulling everything and cleaning poop on the  bathroom floor.
Cute baby sounds...bath bath bath.
Wishing my Mom was here to help me and talk to me.
What does being a Mom means to you?

You are loved

1 John 3:18

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

I try to show my kids and husband everyday that I love them not only in words but in actions. I think it is easy to forget that your actions speak louder than words. I am not perfect at it but I hope that my example will help my kids know what real love, trust and living to your words means. have a happy Sunday my friends.

Blog your heart

Joining Stephanie Howell for Blog your heart.

  1. I am so exited about this election. I am French but was Naturalized American last year. I am voting for Romey.
  2. I love being a Mom, today Soleil was so happy and we were playing the hulk mean pose back and forth. She is growing so fast. She wants to walk and won't bother crawling.
  3. Having this 4th baby is a sacrifice but i would rather have her and my family than being a big Fashion icon or superstar.
  4. A lot of times, i feel like a looser. I am late, forget appointments, my kids drive me nuts but i am not perfect and no one is.
  5. I love Halloween, i love it, i love it!
  6. Mimi and i made a French pie tonight. She made a small pie with the scrap dough just like i used to do when i was a child. I taught her how to cut and peel apples.
  7. I hate renting, i don't like the feeling of being in limbo. I complain less and less about this house but really i would be happy if it was mine. All i ever wanted was to have a humble house.
  8. I love my friends.
  9. It's very hard to have my family in France. I miss my Mom

French Love poem. Your eyes and the ocean

Picture of Hawaii, Kawaii. A long time ago.

Your eyes are like the eternal waves,
they take away my love beyond the expanses of blue, green and blazing.
Your eyes are like the light, they bring to my heart, the beauty, the splendor of what is most beautiful on earth.
Isabelle Thornton

I wrote this French poem when i was a teen. I lived at my Grand-ma's apartment after my parent's divorce at the time.
Writing poems was an escape.

Sillies from my cell phone and i know what the kids did this summer

This summer is very busy but i have no pictures right now. The kids lost my cell phone in the house. It's been 2 weeks now. My phone was broken to start and i could only text with it so i got a new one. I talk to Siri and ask her questions in French. It's pretty funny. She doesn't get it. I told her to "go get lost" And she told me that there is a location not far from me. I told her that i love her. She is pretty jealous.
The kids broke my laptop cord. No pictures, no Photoshop.

I have been thinking about rejection lately.

You will get thousands of no before you get the yes that changes your world. Keep your dreams and never stop. Don't get discouraged. A great quality to success is to be resilient.

25 ways to look good on Facebook

Some people are only on Facebook to brag. I think i should name Facebook, Facebrag. If you are like me and have nothing to brag about (alright, except for the kids and crafts...) maybe you should start faking it. Here are some great ideas to make you feel good about yourself.

Crop and cut the top and you are in Hawaii, California or Florida...Mmmmmmm

1-If you can't cook: Next time your friends gives you a meal or treat. Take a picture of it and post it. People will think you cooked it and you will feel better about yourself.

2-No vacation in 10 years? No problem. Go to the lake and take pictures of the kids in the sand. Oh the possibilities if you have photoshop or can crop a picture!

3-Loosing weight? No biggie. Photoshop can shrink you too! Or no pictures attached. They won't know.

4-Just brag about how wonderful your marriage is, a poem, anything cheesy. I heard that people who do that have a terrible marriage but who knows? You will look good.

5-Make sure to have your birthday in the system. So you can have people leave a happy Birthday. So you can say thank you to everyone and will get a lot of attention. Thanks by the way. Today is my Birthday. I appreciate all the comments and i love you all. I love to be 27. (cough).

6-Get a trophy at the dollars store and take a picture with your kid.

7-Take a picture of a cute house and post it. They will all think it is your house so you won't feel too bad about the Foreclosure you just had.

8-Same for garden and tell how much you love your flowers.

9-Post as many pictures of your kids as you can. Not the ones where they are crying.

10-Take pictures of yourself in very expensive clothes. Don't mention you got it at the thrift store.

11-Tag famous people in your comments.

12-Never comment on other people. You are the center of attention.

13-Take pictures of girls at any event with you. You will look like you have a lot of girl friends.

14-Take pictures of pets and post it. You have to look like you can do it all.

15-Take pictures of the food at a restaurant and tag some very expensive restaurant. They will not know the difference.

16-Become friends with as many possible people you can find in your field. Like if you are a photographer, friend all of them you come across.

17-They all want to see how you look after 5 kids, plastic surgery and 60 hours a week at the gym. (Don't say it is not your body). Just google great bikini body and take the pic without the head or from very far or the back...

18-Oh crafts....Millions out there. Grab a picture, you made it this week-end!

19-Shout that you made ___ money this week-end with your on the side business or your husband had a raise of____.

20-Week-end gateway. Tag a cool place on Friday night. You will be back for church on Sunday, not to worry...and it was free!

21-Never, NEVER complain about ANYTHING! NO negativity.

22-Never ask questions. People never answer and the ones who would, are the closest one anyways. Just message them.

23-If someone gives you a compliment on your wall, milk it. Tag the person and try to have it last as long as you can.

24-Share a quote.

25-Re-post any good article but not political.

26-Say thank you, thank you and more thank you....oh was i supposed to stop at 25?

EDITED:
27-Post funny things...Ohhhhhh

Don't share this post on Facebook. It's our secret. If you can't live it, dream it! HAHAHA
I would post a picture when you feel crappy about your life and memorize this list.
If you have more ways to add. Make sure to comment and share.
Happy Facebook.

It's really my Birthday by the way...

The year of the dragon and dragon clouds

we saw 4 dragon clouds and i took this picture before it disappeared. 2012 is the year of the dragon.
I think those dragon clouds are just a coincidence. They only mean something to you if you know about the year of the dragon. To me it is special because i have a "dragon baby".
And i have a lot of expectation for this year.

High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.

Gestational diabetes

I was pretty mad and it is normal. They tell you that in the Diabetes class. I find out that i have Gestational Diabetes. I thought...Not fair. I don't drink caffeine, pop, junk food (yeah, no burgers), alcohol, no medication. I am a pretty healthy and a disciplined person. How on earth did i get diabetes?
Well, they tell you in the class. It is hereditary...and on the top of my morning sickness. Still going on at 7 and 1 week pregnant.
The only thing i noticed was my face, hands and feet swollen. It is really a silent killer...
So now i got it under control...after freaking out because it is so scary.
I have a very strict diet (The hardest ever. Even for me who is very disciplined). You have to measure your food and food elements. I eat 3 small meals and 3 snacks. Exercise (walk 30 minutes a day).
Poke myself to check my blood sugar 4 times a day. Ok ...but really not enjoyable...Yuck...I even dream about it...Yuck.
I got it under control and it feels very good. It is automatic. You exercise, eat right. Your blood is balanced.
Instant gratification.  The first few times were scary because i would fell my poke test. Then i passed...one test after another...Stress highers your blood sugar. I think it took me some time also to relax.
I feel blessed because i can control it and the knowledge about Gestational diabetes is amazing. think about that. 100 years ago...none of all of this diet and poking...Gosh.
So if you have some Diabetes recipe or experience you want to leave in the comments, i would appreciate it. Right now...I still can't believe i can't eat any deserts like i used to. The portions are like tiny! Or i can't believe how much i ate before!
I know that some of you don't believe in God. Like my Dad and brothers. I have to tell you, the day i find out i had gestational Diabetes, the sisters from my church showed up. Like that. Out of the blue. I was a mess. With not a lot of support. Horrible. Then, they came and i felt loved. God send this little miracle in one of the worst time of my life. I am surely grateful. Can't deny it. It was a miracle. I got a Priesthood blessing too. It reaffirmed what i had felt for few months now. I have to stay patient and the tribulations will pass.

Thanks to all of you and your support. I know you care. It makes a big difference.
My friends in blog land and Facebook make a big difference in my life.

I was thinking few days ago...well, i am not one of those blogs you visit and cry over the nice house and perfect life. Gosh. LOL

I just got a Turkey. A fresh one. So i can freeze the left over...I am very exited for Thanksgiving.
XOXO
Have a super week-end!!!!
