How to make an English cabbage rose with paper for scrapbooking and handmade tags

I made some cute Mother's Day tags for Church. I used an assortment of papers.
This one looks very Shabby chic to me.
I used a special scripture for it, very appropriate for Mother's day!

Proverbs 3:15

15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

I thought I would do a tutorial on how to make an English cabbage rose for your cards and scrapbooking.
It is very easy.
You will need:
A paper punch in a flower shape,
Brads,
Jewels if you want,
Tissue paper,

Punch your tissue paper,

Pass your brad through the middle.

Pass it through your paper,

Wrinkle the Tissue paper with your fingers.

I glued a Jewel on the brad.
Happy Mother's Day, Don't let any idiots tell you you are not special.
Love you guys!

French Country party invitations

This picture is from the Graphic Fairy. I played with it on Photoshop.
Used the bandage erasing tool. Erased the print and replaced it by my text.

Then printed them in wallet sizes.

Chose the color of blank card stock.

Then i chose 2 different fabrics. A tassel.
Fringe the gingham fabric with scissors.

I added a button and cut the back with my jewelry pliers.

Glued it all together. You can hot glue it too. It is faster. I used a small glue gun.

You can also place the tassel on the bottom to make a mark page.
Put a hole on the top and pretty ribbon for a tag.

The party links are on my bar.

Shabby Chic Christmas card or memory book

I love to make memory books. When you pay so much for family pictures or when you take favorite pics. Mini family books are a great gift , memory book and conversation piece on you sofa table.
I love to make them in January when it is so boring and cold outside. This year, i made it for Christmas and hanged it on the tree.

First, i made a trial one with photocopies...To get the right size and design.

I ordered the wallet size pictures.

I used a 12 by 12 paper and cut  4 inches pieces.

Folded and glued.

Book i wanted for 6 pictures.

To make the flower, i used 3 different wrapping sheets.

Attached them with a brad and scrunched them up. You can see the tutorial here: English cabbage rose tutorial.
I glued the front page after I attached the flower.
Punched a whole and added twine and a mini tree ornament.
I framed the pictures with contrasting paper and used blue and silver stickers.
My favorite was this "Summer Circus" paper from GCD studio "Paris night". It was my inspiration for the family pictures too.
I did a black and white with blue because they were my colors this year for Christmas but any other colors would work.

If you can't find French paper. You can print and add it to your creation like i did here. I used a Graphic Fairy paper."Eau de Cologne de France".

Love the French picking through.
