A little makeover

Sometimes I get to have a fun makeover and get my picture taken by one of the most talented photographer in Utah. After taking care of sick kids for 3 weeks it makes me feel pretty and special. The sweetest thingz in Draper is a pretty cute boutique and salon. Nice and trendy. The owners even go to New York to get their cute clothes and accessories,  so that we, in Utah don't feel too left out in the fashion world. I really recommend you pay them a visit. If you need your hair and makeup done after you shop, even better!

I have notice Richard Meade for a while now. I love good photography and talented artists. I was so happy to get my pic taken and meet him. Richard is from England. He has a cute accent and also speaks French! I really enjoyed getting to know him better. He is really fun!
If you live in Utah I recommend that you follow The sweetest thingz and Richard Meade on Facebook.

Knit Fashion: Mixing patterns

We had a very cold and snowy winter so far in Utah. The kids have enjoyed sledding and me staying warm with sweaters, cardigans and coats.

I love mixing textures for knits. As you can see my lovely Ecru beret, scarf and cardigan all have different patterns. It makes my outfit interesting. I matched the scarf and beret to frame and make the focus on my face for the pictures. With a natural eye and rosy burgundy lips. I used a big curling iron just the traditional way.
What are your favorite things about winter?

Your best shot challenge and a sweet story

Click on the picture to see how amazing this picture is larger.

This picture of my Fairy was the first photoshoot i took with my Nickon D60.
I never used a professional camera before. I started blogging seriously because i had this amazing camera.
The girls were playing with a small snake the neighbor kid had caught. We used to live in the woods. The light was perfect...The moment was magic.
This picture is not edited.
I like it that way. Just real and pure.

How to do a Vintage look in Photoshop tutorial

I have been studying Photoshop. I had no idea how to edit some pictures and then i figured it out.

                                        Before....                                           After....

I like the Vintage look in pictures...You can get the action at Coffeshop blog.
I learned on You tube how to do all the steps manually and then did the Jhonna's Tea party steps.
I loved learning how to do the layers. You can learn how with:  tutorial on Vintage effects in Photoshop on you tube!

They all have variations and teach you tricks...Love it!

Wild animal rock Fashion and Amber Shaw Photography

I saw this super cool Tiger print white T-shirt at Romwe and i had to get it! $18 with free shipping.

This is a thick shirt. Very good quality and i love the beads. I wanted to do a rock style. I thought that Faux leather leggings would work and fun red platform shoes, red lips...It worked...Adding something"leather" always work for a rock style.
I used curlers to make my hair super curly.
Utah is very Country so i got noticed...There is no rule...even if you live in the Country, wear what makes you happy!

When ordering online make sure to measure yourself with a sewing measure tape...So the items fit you.

Thank you to Amber Shaw Photography for the AMAZING fun!

It is everywhere...Romantic is really the hit right now. Some friends told me that this look is their favorite.

It all started at Kmart...Then putting the pieces together.

The butterfly jar is from Kmart too. It is a fake but looks and sounds like the real thing.

Thanks to Kmart Stylesip. Blogging for them was a lot of fun.
