How i met my husband, my love story

Few weeks ago, we went to memory lane and had dinner at the restaurant where hubby and i had our first date. Golden Isle Chinese restaurant in Murray, Utah.

We sat in the booth behind my boy.

we had coconut shrimp and Lobster shrimp, very yummy.

I met my hubby Russ 14 years ago, i was going to school in Orem to UVSC. Now an University.
I met him at church, he was checking out girls.
The day before, i had an 9 hour hike to the "Subway"

I was seated in the sacrament room with my best friend Marci and few rows  in front of us were 2 boys. I liked one right away and thought...perfect, Marci will go out with the other.
Then at the end of the meeting they both stood up and my choice "Russ" was even more handsome from the front. LOL
I saw him later in the hall and he asked me if i knew any good French restaurant and i said not really...then he said if i wanted to go out for Chinese food and i said yes...super fast. I was totally in love. Love at first sight. His light green eyes were so gorgeous!
I was jumping up and down afterward and could not believe it because guys don't usually ask you out at church.
We were married 6 months later.
For me it was very important to have a spiritual confirmation or good feeling to know marrying Russ was the right thing to do. I take my marriage vows with God very seriously.
I had my answer at the Jordan river Temple.

In my faith we believe that we are married for ever.
This makes me very happy.

Happy Birthday to Hubby and a Peanut butter and Jelly pie or dessert recipe

I am so late with all my post. I just downloaded 300 pictures out of my camera. I guess it is pretty hard for me to blog with a newborn. Taking care of a new baby is non stop even a super good baby like Soleil.
This is an easy dessert to make and i got so many compliments over the years. it is truly delicious.

The secret is Jello no bake, peanut butter cup dessert.
Just follow the instructions.

The oreo crust comes first. I used a form pan but you can use a pie pan.

Then the peanut butter filling.

Then 1/4 cup strawberry Jelly.

The hard shell comes last. I made a heart by letting the strawberry jelly show.
Whipping cream is very good on top too.

Happy Birthday sweetie. yes, the kids had to take turns blowing the candles.

I could talk about memories and how important they are to me but... this is not about that.
Hubby went to Vegas for work and went to a Nickelback concert.
They rocked.
I am Jealous.

Trip to St George

Short trip to St George...On our way we stopped at "The Ranch".

original fence made of tree trunks.

My husband's Great Great grand-pa was a pioneer.

His Great grand pa was a Homesteader. He decided to go South from Salt lake.
So he build a fence around a lot of land and lived there....
So we stopped there...

Roosters acting like guard dogs on the property....

You can see the original wood and stone...

Shreck potty for real!

Grand-Pa's truck...Still there...

The pond where they used to catch frogs...

The bucket where they used to put the frogs in...

The pig house....

The big tires left behind from the time when they build the roads...

The tree where they used to hang the dead deers....

The last time he was here....He was 15.

Utah is a big desert....
Good bye roosters....now St. George....

On this left exit...Zion's National park...not going there today...

Tomorrow sunny St George...
