A true Binky story, the babies in Heaven need them by Isabelle Thornton

Happy 4th of July week-end!!!!
I have some great news to share with you. I am an Author!!. I have been working very hard at this book. Editing pictures and writing the cutest poem. It is beautiful!! I am so happy with it!
It all started more than 1 year ago when my daughter had to say good bye to her Binkies. I had done the balloon ceremony with my other Daughter and knew it would work with her, although if you know my Fairy...She is very stubborn...Must be the Breton blood (Bretagny in France). we send her Binkies attached to pink balloons to the Babies in Heaven.

It worked so well...it was too good to be true. I took pictures and made a post and got 85 comments from wonderful readers! A lot of them telling me I should make it a book! I did!!! Thank you so much for all of you and your support!!!

The secret Garden- Le jardin secret.

Dreaming of spring and a secret garden...When and where everything comes alive.

"Where you tend a rose, my lad,
A thistle cannot grow."

The secret Garden By Frances Hodgson Burnett, illustrated by Inga Moore is a must read For early spring.
This book enchanted me, made me smile and warm my heart.
It made me appreciate the nature surrounding me. The simple things we take for granted.
The illustration is beautiful also.

The garden is slowly coming alive in Utah. The colors are still faded.

Snow at Fablehaven

It snowed yesterday. The animals don't like it at all. They want to stay inside. We have been dealing with the 3 year old throwing up. Hubby going to Taiwan for work.
Scouts, Gymnastics. So busy !
My creative juices are very slow right now.
I have been reading a lot and trying to get a good sleeping habit.

The fourth book of Fablehaven by Brandon Mull, secrets of the dragon sanctuary is exiting ! Kendra and Seth    kept me entertained and surprised. Very big treachery in this book made me so mad at the end.
My applauds to Brandon Mull for his imagination and writing.
I never got bored from beginning to end !
I took the picture of the book in the snow....Perfect time to read it now....Wait....I read it yesterday and it was snowing....I think this book has some magic with the weather has i read it. Maybe some of the magic in the book is rubbing on me ? Hahaha
I started reading the last book and i don't want it to end....It's too good !
Keep warm !
Hugs

And the rain was falling

I read the 3rd book of the Fablehaven series. Grip of the Shadow plague in one day/night.
I was going to go to be and it started raining outside as i was reading. If you have read the book. You will understand why it was perfect for it. The "Mesa part" with the rain made it so real. I could not stop. 3 Hours later i finished it and was hungry for the 4th book.
Library, here i come !
Incredible story, fun. Love the action, the magic. A must read. I am so picky with what i read and get bored so easily ! I was happily surprised !
You have to read those books !
XOXO

A window open to Italy with my friend Alex Bigney.

Alex Bigney lives down the street from me. He is such an amazing and interesting person.

Alex Bigney was born in Boston and raised in rural New England. He is an accomplished and gifted artist whose paintings are exhibited in distinguished collections in the United States and internationally.

While living and studying art in Italy, he developed a lifelong and profound relationship to Italian art history and culture. This passion continues to sustain and inform the particulars of his artistic life—a life that is extended to students, colleagues and friends where a substantial, relevant new vision of painting is nurtured and generously shared.

“There is a rising interest among artists today,” Alex has stated, “in reclaiming a painting foundation where discussions of the past are new and alive in the present. What is exacted from us as artists and viewers is that we wholly participate.”

I really like him. He is smart. He has a gorgeous voice. I love listening to him, he is so smart and enriched with travel, knowledge and experience. there is something special about him that  make me like him and he is a super nice person...I love Italy too and have been there.

He is a wonderful author. He wrote Talking to Tesla. Here is some parts of the book i really like, although there are so many:

“Love is resonance, an effect of the coincidence of frequencies, a marriage of patterns,” stated Tesla, “making their combined influence greater than the sum of their individual effects...Love attracts like a magnet, joining those who love in oneness, as a melodic progression attracts harmonious notes...." p 238, TTT ...

So I keep looking back, picking through the clutter of my life for clues, hoping to stumble upon something that suggests a beginning to this story—my childhood and youth, life as a painter, my travels in Italy; all motifs in the complex pattern that led me here. p i, TTT

Most travelers know; you don’t arrive at one destination by focusing on another. It’s another open secret—that you always end up exactly where you’re headed. p 338, TTT

“You have already learned that order is born from disorder through awareness, but you are only now beginning to believe that perhaps you can actually participate in bringing things into being that were beyond your awareness—which power is called faith.” p 393, TTT

...I have started lowering the volume on things, turning off the radio in the car and letting the house stay silent when I’m alone. I’ve stopped looking at things I don’t intend to see, stopped responding to what isn’t important. I’m trying to listen more, to pay attention to what was there before my life filled up with so much junk. p 88, TTT

He is amazing...

Here is my favorite painting by Alex Bigney.
See his website to see more about him and  to buy his book.

Reading for February

I finished my book for this month. As a Man thinketh by James Allen. He is a writer from the 1800. I liked it very much, so much that for March, i will read his other book. "The path to prosperity". It is very short read too.Ma petite fee made me a painting....
Here is a chapter i really liked :

Humanity cannot forget it's dreamers; it cannot let their ideals fade and die; it lives in them; it knows them as the realities which it shall one day see and know.

Composer, sculptor, painter, poet, prophet, sage, these are the makers of the afterworld, the architects of heaven. The world is beautiful because they have lived; without them, laboring humanity would perish.

He who cherishes a beautiful vision, a lofty ideal in his heart, will one day realize it.

Columbus cherished a vision of another world, and he discovered it; Copernicus fostered the vision of a multiplicity of worlds, and he revealed it; Buddha beheld the vision of a spiritual world of stainless beauty and perfect peace, and he entered into it.

Cherish your visions; cherish your ideals; cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts for out of them will grow all delightful conditions, all heavenly environment; of these, if you but remain true to them, your world will at last be build.

To desire is to obtain; to aspire is to achieve.
How beautiful is that...Pure truth...I don't know how to call it...Spiritual... Philosophies...Laws of human nature... psychologies...Surely, Pure delight.

February read

I have a resolution for 2010... to read one book a month. This is the book for next month. As a man thinketh by James Allen. Hubby says it changed his life at a very crucial time. It may do the same for me...
"Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results; bad thoughts and actions can never produce good results"
"They themselves are makers of themselves"

That is if my 2 year old doesn't rip it apart before i get to it. LOL.
