Too pretty

OK, i had to show more pictures...too pretty. Some accessories will work for any seasons like the white Christmas bird house i just got.

If you have not notice yet, the body of the fire place was painted Aqua blue... The walls are a rich sunflower hue.

I got those 2 candle holders at a thrift store..Painted them gold first. Put a layer of crackle and when dry a layer of cream Acrylic paint. Very long candles would be great in them.

14 days of Valentine

I find this great idea on A million little things blog. The 14 days of Valentine. Yesterday i went to target and Roberts (40% off all scrapbook paper this week) to get some really cute things. It is such a great thing to plan and put together for me this month. I am so bored and it is so cold outside!!
Hubby's Birthday is February 13. I also have to plan a Birthday cake!!! It is going to be a lot of fun!

Master bedroom on a budget

The bedroom should be your refuge, so i think that starting with your master when you put together your house should be the first thing you do. I wanted a tranquil, romantic, simple, aqua blue bedroom. I started with the aqua blue on the ceiling, the bed, a French reproduction(300$ at JCpenney.com). Then the chairs(Jc penney.com). Then the bedding, clearance at Walmart. The pillows, at Target. I bought the picture in a thrift store 8 years ago, the frame was Burgundy, i spray painted it gold. Surprise! it goes in my room. I guess, if you go with things and colors you love, you will find the use. The screen is from my husband grand-mother. his grand-pa got it in China when he was a soldier. It was a weeding gift for grand-ma. When grand-ma passed away, my husband's Dad gave it to me. It made me cry. So this is my favorite piece in the room. The colors are Aqua blue, chocolate brown, white, gold and off white.

Festive kids bedroom.

A very good idea to make the kids bedroom festive is to get christmas flannel sheets that match the every day comforter set ( surfer for us). I got the set of sheets 15 $ at Target.
