Born Pretty Holo Polish #4 & #12 Swatches + Review

Wednesday, August 07, 2013
Recently, I was contacted to review some products from the lovely Born Pretty Store.  As I was browsing the website I came across the holo polishes, and they have quite a few amazing colors that I don't already have in my collection.  Of course, being the holo obsessed nail polish addict that I am, I had to try them!  I ended up choosing #4 and #12, so that is what I will be showing you today.

#4 is a beautiful, bright coral-pink linear holographic polish.  In direct sunlight with the holographic effect in full force, it almost looks neon.  It is opaque in two coats, super shiny (I am not wearing top coat in the photos), and so bright and summery, I love it.

It's gorgeous in the shade or indoors as well:

#12 is the most amazing dark green-teal linear holographic polish.  This is definitely one of my favorite holographic polishes in my collection now, it's that good.  It is also opaque in two coats, and extremely shiny (shown without top coat in the photos).  I actually posted a video on Instagram of this polish in action as well (here!).  Obsessed.

It's absolutely beautiful in the shade or indoors as well:

The Born Pretty Holo polishes retail for $5.59 USD and I highly recommend them!  The formula is beautiful (no special base coat required!), and they are extremely glossy with a very strong linear holographic effect.  I think I'm going to have to pick up a few more colors to try because I'm in love with these two!

You can also use the code KSG10 for 10% off your order.  They ship free worldwide!

As always, thank you for reading! :)

Incoco Nail Appliques: Electric Wave Swatches & Review

Thursday, July 04, 2013
I can't stop staring at my nails right now, and I will show you why:

They are just mesmerizing, aren't they?!

Well, I was sent a few nail appliques to try out by the brand Incoco recently.  I've tried some appliques once before by a different brand, and while they looked fine, I wasn't that crazy about them.  I have heard good reviews about Incoco though, and they have some amazing bright colors and patterns for summer that are hard to resist!

Here are the nail appliques I was sent:

The Electric Wave appliques are part of the Summer 2013 Neon Collection, and Electric Wave is the perfect name to describe them, I would say.  They are a vivid lime chartreuse green with a black chevron print.  They caught my eye as soon as I opened the package.  I actually had enough left over after applying them to my own nails, that I ended up applying them to my mothers nails as well (she was very happy about that!).  I am definitely impressed at how quick and easy they were to apply, and I had no trouble finding the perfect size for each of my nails.

You can purchase Incoco nail appliques at Incoco.com for $7.99 - $9.99 depending on which color or pattern you choose.  They also offer free shipping on orders over $50.

I must say, they have completely sparked my interest for nail appliques again, and I can't wait to try the others sets I was sent.  The tips should be interesting!

What do you think of these nail appliques?  Have you tried Incoco?  Or other brands that offer appliques?  I would love to know your thoughts!
