Iconic Autumn by Vicki

This simple and elegant design by DT member Vicki Romaine is the very epitome of Autumn beauty, don't you think?  Simply beautiful.

Vicki writes: "This Lunagirl grouping of leaves is the main feature on this card when placed on a Cheery Lynn Designs die.  The sentiment is a SEI embellishment."

Thank you, Vicki ~ Visit Vicki's blog cheerfulstamppad.blogspot.com and see her challenges too!

Autumn Drama by Michele

When I opened this latest sample sent to me by DT Member Michele Storms, the actual words out of my mouth were, "Oh Wow!"

This is so pretty and quite dramatic.  I recognize the Egyptian Art Nouveau image from one of my Mucha collage sheets.  I love her pose, and the assymmetrical placement of the arch on the background, and the swirl of big bright leaves.

Thanks, Michele!  Visit Michele at Artfromthewell.blogspot.com.

Vintage Halloween Witches ~ New Collage Sheets!

I had to show off some of the new collage sheets I've been working on, just in time for Halloween crafts.  Yes, I know it's only August, but crafters tend to always be thinking one holiday ahead!  I'm crazy for Halloween witches and I hope you will enjoy these new vintage Halloween images I don't think you'll find anywhere else ~  including Art Nouveau Witches, some cool Witch Photos, unique Victorian Witches from vintage postcards and ads, Edwardian Witchery, and finally a 1920s Halloween Dance.

Check them out at Lunagirl.com.

Birds: Inspiration from Michele Storm & free bird image

Another gorgeous submission from Michele Storms of the Lunagirl Moonbeams Design Team!   This reminds me of a goddess of Springtime, surrounded by her birds and flowers.  So pretty! Love the warm oranges throughout.
I hope you'll be inspired to enter my BIRDS blog challenge/contest.  You have until next Monday night to enter, and the winner chosen at random will get a free Lunagirl digital collage sheet of their choice!  More challenges to come, so stay tuned.

To further inspire you, I'd like to share another free bird image you can download for personal use.  Who could resist this little housewren?  He is adapted from one of a set of antique "bird cards" I was lucky to find ~ each card features a different bird, a few facts, and a little verse!

Messengers of Springtime

Find butterflies, flowers, and birds for Spring and Summer projects at Lunagirl.com!
The beautiful yellow swallowtail butterflies returned to us this week. We hope to have bird nests soon ~ we have plenty of blackberry and rose briars behind our office, and the cardinals love to nest among them. We have a pair of phoebes looking for a place to nest, and chickadees, titmice, goldfinches, purple finches, wrens, sparrows, mockingbirds, brown thrashers, and fussy bluejays and squawky crows visit daily. The South is a great place for birding! I'm hoping for nesting bluebirds again this year. Thought I would share this lovely photograph of a yellow swallowtail on orange butterfly weed.
