I have a sick child at home so that altered my play time for today!  

I'm sharing a quick card I made for the Pink Elephant inspiration challenge.  I love the gray & yellow color scheme the comforter has in it and I also used the sketch from SCS which made my card come together quite nicely!   Thanks for the inspiration ladies...I did have fun making my card!!!

Good Monday Morning Stamping Friends!!!!!

My weekend was super busy with us celebrating our daughter's 13th birthday but we had so much fun with her & that makes it totally worth it!!!!!

Creatively Cute Challenge #4

Etsy Blog Hop Sketch & Prize

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Etsy Blog Hop & my very first challenge! A little info about me: My name is Jacquel Bowman aka Jackie and I'm super excited to be a part of the Etsy Design Team!! I've been married to my highschool sweetheart for 16 years and I'm a SAHM to 3 wonderful children--Reginald Jr., Brandon & Bianca. Happy Hump Day Everyone!
As my title suggests, it's that time of year and I spent yesterday putting together my spreadsheet for our accountant. Here's a LATE resolution I've made for myself: I'm not going to wait 'til the last minute to do this anymore!!! I've already started on this year's sheet so I'm ahead of the game....and I'll be much happier this time next year too!!

Since I had no time to create anything new, I'm showing you one of my faves that I made last year. This card is for an Inspiration Challenge on SCS and I used the colors from the photo as my mojo starter. I never thought that Sahara Sand & Soft Sky would look this great together but it really does! I had to ink up my cuttlebugged piece to take away some of the starkness and found out that I LOVE to distress the embossed pieces....kind of messy but cute!!

I hope you enjoyed this little trip down memory lane. I'm off to get the kiddos going, work out, freshen up and head over to our accountant's office. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!

Inspiration & Silver New Year

Good Saturday Morning!
I'm glad it's the weekend but unfortunately I'm not feeling the greatest. I hope to be back to my normal self by Monday.....also hoping that you all are off to a great weekend!!

The first card is for the Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS. We had to add silver to our cards---I believe I accomplished that very well! My second card is for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS. I chose this cake for my inspiration or should I say the colors. I tried to make a climbing rose but it didn't work out....oh well.

Good Sunday Morning Everyone! I hope everyone's off to a great day whether it's church or just relaxing @ home.

My card for today is for 2 challenges. The Inspiration Challenge on SCS and Taylors' Cupcake Challenge. I didn't use a cupcake but I did follow her sketch...I LOVE it!! The colors of my card was inspired by this piece. Aren't those colors pretty on that plate. I immediately thought of this paper that I received from a friend of mine and the rest was easy! Oh, the button....I picked up a bag of buttons a LONG time ago and just recently placed them in a glass jar. This particular button stood out to me so I grabbed it hoping it would work...it does!

Hope you're all enjoying your day so far...I'm relaxing for the moment myself in preparation for tomorrow. Monday is my customer appreciation day and I have a very special project planned for them. My card is for the Inspiration challenge on SCS. The black & white dress was really pretty and it's a fave color combo of mine so it was a cinch to make this creation. Didn't leave much room for a sentiment but I like it just the same.
