Dear Sunday Stash,

I miss you... really I do.

My last report was March 20th, week 12 this year.  It was around that time that pre-market sewing went from high speed into turbo speed.  Originally I had planned on keeping track of the numbers in my spreadsheet and posting when I found time.  My last entry was on April 22.  After that I lost track of all numbers in and out.

I won't be posting numbers in and out today.  But I'm posting some yummy fabric pictures and maybe sometime soon I'll get back into the habit of recording in & out.

This yummy stack just arrived!!
15 coordinated fat quarters picked by me.  More info about it coming soon.

Home Dec weight of Silent Cinema by Jenean Morrison
I'm in love with Silent Cinema.  I have so many ideas that I have yet to decide anything!

I've been using my lily bag all the time.  Originally I thought it would be too small for daily use... but it has actually been perfect.  I might use the Silent Cinema Home Dec fabric to make a second one.

Sunday Stash Report - Week 12

I did a lot of random sewing this week, but most of it doesn't count for my stash report.  Most of the fabric I used this week came from my scrap bins & I also caught up on bee blocks!

--

In

Lots of Ring Toss from Robert Kaufman
{Metro Living fabric collection}

White Rings on Colors...

Colored rings on white...

I really like the positive/negative here & the wheels in my brain are spinning with ideas!

Out

3 yards to make this bag
{Abby Bag by V&Co.}

I love zippers.  Once upon a time I was afraid of them, but once I conquered them I fell in love with them! The pouches in the front are from the Cash & Carry pattern by Atkinson Designs.

The bag in the back is the Origami pattern from Amy Butler's Style Stitches.  I didn't finish my bag for the Style Stitches Monthly Bag Challenge in February so I wanted to make this one for March.

this one is my favorite
lots of orange scraps

They are so easy to make... and you can make a bunch really fast.

 I also caught up on making bee blocks for Bee Imaginative.

Just this morning I took out my selvage spider web quilt again.
This quilt will be finished in 20 years or so at this rate!!... but I like to work on it when I can.

My selvages are all organized by size

But they turn into messy piles like this during the process of making more blocks.

Here they are in progress.
For more information on my selvage quilt check out my photos on flickr.

I finished making 12 more triangles this morning!
{Too bad I already counted all the green fabric when I cut it}

Sunday Stash Report - Weeks 10 & 11

I didn't post a stash report last week so this will be a catch up report.  I haven't gotten much sewing done in the last 2 weeks as I spent most of the time working on taking pictures of the quilts & finishing up the new patterns.  Speaking of the new patterns I have good news... my printer was able to ship them earlier than planned!! {I was so excited to find this out!!!}

As soon as they arrive I'll be shipping them out to stores that have ordered them.

Where to buy my patterns online
Fabric Lovers - Pre-order my patterns & enter "JBQUILTS" to get a 10% discount! {Discount valid until 3/26}
The Fabric Quarter

If you are a shop that is interested in purchasing my patterns you can contact me or you can contact your Checker rep as Checker is now carrying all of my patterns!
Note: If you are a shop & you have placed your order with Checker please let me know so I can add your shop to the list above.

Right now I will not be selling them in my shop.  I just have so much work to do in the studio & I hope you understand.  All of the shops above are amazing & will take great care of you.

Back to the stash report!

{shocking i know... but it won't stay this way long}

Some fabric for binding.

Some of my personal stash of pure.
My mom's friend is celebrating her 60th birthday and since she is quilter mom asked for my help in putting a present together for her.  Of course I said I'd help and I asked mom to look around my studio & tell me what fabric she thought was the right colors... I didn't know she'd pick the last bit of pure I had left!  That's ok... it'll make room for some new yummy fabric!

Sunday Stash Report - Week 9

Thank you for your response to my fabric sale post!
You helped me make lots of space on the shelves of my studio.

I did really well with my stash report this week. Lots & lots of sewing...which left no time to buy any new fabric.

the quilts are almost done!!

Your comments on my "A year ago today" post were fantastic!
It got me motivated to finish the last of my birdie slings from early 2010!

The band and handles are a French General linen/cotton blend
The body is Vintage Red Kona Crush
The trim is ??... something I found in a box in my studio!

I added a bunch of pockets including a zippered one.

Sunday Stash Report - Week 8

Another very busy week around here!  Lots of sewing for the new patterns as well as a few other things. Friday I headed to The Village Quilter for a sewing night with some members of the Philly Modern Quilt Guild.  I had a great time... and of course I did some shopping!

In

3 yards of Central Park by Kate Spain
{yes more central park... I'm kinda hooked}

4.5 yards of County Fair by Denyse Schmidt... and it was on sale!!

6 yards of other fabric

and I bought a jelly roll from my own business
I know that sounds funny... but I keep my personal stash and business inventory separate.

--

Out

I made a mug rug for the Philly Modern Quilt Guild swap.

We had a great time swapping mug rugs.  Andrew wrote a recap of it on the PMQG blog.

I cut up lots of fabric for these blocks.  I'm making "The Tempest" by Cherry House.

Lots & lots of fabric out for my new quilts... & if all goes well with the photo shoots this week you'll be seeing them by the end of the week!

4 yards out of Nest flannel by Tula Pink to be used as backing for my Nest braid quilt.  I blogged that I had the borders on this quilt back in May of 2009... eek!  So why didn't It get quilted and finished back then?...

This is why!
eek!  I actually cut a hole in the quilt top... accidentally of course.  At the time I was so upset and didn't know what to do that I stuck it in a box and figured I'd come up with a plan later.  Well almost 2 years later and I don't want to let it stay in a box any longer... so I have a plan and I'm going to as Tim Gunn would say... "Make it work!"

Sunday Stash Report - Week 7

busy week!
lots of sewing... not a lot of blogging... but it'll all be worth it in the end!
i am still working on the rest of the binding tutorials
hopefully part 3 will be finished this week.

I spent yesterday catching up with Rachael. It included a trip to get yummy yummy cupcakes since my birthday kinda came and went with no cake & not much joy. Friends come and go through your life but every once in a while you develop a friendship with someone that turns into a life long bond that is more like family. Rachael is more than just my sorority sister... she is family to me. She knew that a simple thing like remembering my birthday and getting me a cupcake meant the world to me.

fyi... Elijah was first taken to the hospital on my birthday and then eventually diagnosed. Understandably it took over all of our lives and my birthday didn't seem to really matter. I get lots of e-mails asking how he is and I appreciate them all. He is in round 3 of treatment and this round has had much less side effects. My parents are in LA right now spending time with him & my west coast family. Here is a recent picture of Elijah with my mom that my SIL Karin took. I miss my west coast family...and my dad... but right now I really miss my mom!

Sunday Stash Report - Week 6

Where did this week go?
Really it took me a minute to figure out what I worked on this week.  I spent most of the week doing "work" for my real job instead of sewing.  Some weeks just end up being busier that others and this week was one of those.

In

6 yards of metro living

I didn't count these in but I did get some samples this week.
They are called "cuddle" and are some of Robert Kaufman's prints on plush fabrics produced by Shannon Fabrics. I love the colors and I've got a few ideas of what I want to make from these fabrics.
Hawthorne Fabrics has a bunch of them available now if you want to snag some.

I didn't get much sewing done this week but I did cut a lot of fabric. I'm sure when I get around to sewing it I'll remember that I already counted it out and have a sad stash report that week. oh well!

12.28 yards out for the cutting of 4 different projects.
First up is the quilt a long being hosted by Cherry House Quilts
oh how I love orange!

I'll show you the other things I've been working on soon.

Sunday Stash Report - Week 5

This week has been all about pillows and pillowcases. I made a few more pillowcases for the Philly Modern Quilt Guild's project that ties in with the APQ Million Pillowcase challenge.

February is pillow month at Sew Mama Sew & I'm working on a few new things to share with all of you! Make sure to check it out as there will be inspiration every day of the month!

shocking i know... but with the snow i couldn't get out to shop and UPS/FedEx couldn't get to me to deliver anything!!

Out

fabric for a few pillowcases...
that i apparently forgot to take photos of!

fabric for a few new pillows
i'll show you them in a few days... for now you just get a sneak peek

I also whipped up this simple version of the Mini Miranda Bag by Lazy Girl designs for my friend's daughter who is a girl scout. I used the Girl Scout "Patch" fabric on the outside and Quilter's Linen for the lining and handles.

Here I am yesterday buying my girl scout cookies.
I have a serious addiction to Thin Mints.
I may or may not have bought 8 boxes total...but this is a stash report not a cookie one.

Sunday Stash Report - Week 4

I'm happy to report that yesterday was a productive day of bag making and that I have more fabric out than in this week!

In

2.5 yards of fabric from ikea
3.5 yards of kona solids

Out

Neptune for a 2nd Cosmo
Yes you read that right... I broke into my neptune stash.

I also made the key keeper coin purse from chapter 7

It's a tiny little thing but it's so darn cute!

I learned from the last time I made the Cosmo bag and this time I didn't make any of the pockets as the pattern directs you to. Instead I added a zippered pocket on the inside.

 I love this set!!
edited: both bags are from Style Stitches by Amy Butler
I'm doing the Style Stitches Monthly Bag Challenge 2011

fabric for a pillow
fabric for a few other new projects

details of this quilt are over at my swatch and stitch post
if you haven't entered the giveaway to win a pattern you have till tomorrow night!

I did make a few more selvage spider web blocks this week but unfortunately I can't count any fabric out for those.
