The Everyday Purse Builder and the Weekender Handbag

I have a friend who asked me to create a set of handbags for her store window display.  

She picked out the papers and I happily made her a set!

The dies sure make whipping up a couple purses quick and easy compared to the old trace and cut method!

The printed papers are from Felicity Jane and the coordinating cardstock in green is from Cardstock Warehouse.

The yellowish cardstock is Stardust and the black glitter paper on the sunglasses and heart padlock  is from the Neutrals Glitter Pack.

Weekender Handbag and Everyday Purse Size Comparison

I've been asked more times that I can count about size comparison on the two bags, so I decided to do a post on it.  

There is quite a bit of difference between the Everyday Purse Bundle and the Weekender Handbag Bundle and that was on purpose.  I will explain under each one below.

The Everyday Purse Bundle was released in January 2020.  I designed this one to be A2 card front size as it can also be made into the cutest cards ever if you don't want a dimensional purse. Concord & 9th and I felt this would be a good size for both the cardmaker and the 3D maker.

The size is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and is about 1" wide.  

It easily holds 3 x 3 note cards, gift cards, pack of gum, or small skinny gifts.

The Weekender Handbag Bundle was released December 2020 and is larger than the Everyday Purse Bundle.  I designed this one specifically for gift packing.

It is 5" wide and about 6" tall with handles. The inside measures 4-1/4" x 1-5/8" wide.  This one holds a whole lot more, like a pair of socks, travel size things such as hand sanitizer or lotions, baggies of candies, votive size candles, etc.

This one also has an add on die called Bright Eyes Bundle.  The sunglasses (or regular glasses as they are above) are sized to fit perfectly on this bag.

Both are adorable and so much fun to make and give! Today's samples are made with Felicity Jane patterned paper.

Hot Pink Everyday Purse Bundle

Have you made an Everyday Purse yet?  Each one is the same but they have such different personalities.  This one in hot pink and black for my sister - it is so bright and girly I almost didn't want to mail it away!  

The details are the best part for me.  I love making them and I really love looking at them.

Thanks A Bunch of Cosmos

I have a beautiful Everyday Purse and card set to share today using the Cosmos stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps.

I stamped and colored a bunch of Cosmos, and I mean a bunch!  I cut them all out with the coordinating dies and was then ready to create beautiful projects.  

I assembled a purse from the Everyday Purse Bundle and adhered the Cosmos to the purse to create a bit of texture rather than stamping them directly on the purse.  I like the look and feel of doing it that way.  Then I added all the accessories from the purse on top of that.

Cosmos Honey Cuts

Each of the cards has a section of the A2 Thin Frames on them.  When you cut this die it cuts many different sizes of the thin frames, so I chose the 4 largest.  Then I chose the sentiment by what fit inside the framed area.

I did a little bit of ink blending inside each frame for the background, stamped the sentiments and then adhered the flowers.

I colored the flowers with Copic Markers and actually remembered to write down the color combos!

Brighter Days and Everyday Purse Bundle

You might need to put your sunglasses on!

I have a bright and cheery project today made with the Concord & 9th Brighter Days bundle and the Everyday Purse Bundle.

I used the cloud die to cut clouds in the light blue cardstock for the card and the purse. The rainbow is fun to stamp and lines up perfectly.  It is cute in all colors, not just typical rainbow colors.

Everyday Purse for Flat Ariana

Who remembers Flat Stanley?  

My kids had Flat Stanley projects in school and they were some of our favorite times.  It is such a fun book!  

Last month my great niece Ariana, who is in first grade, asked if she could send her Flat Ariana to Aunt Becky's house for an adventure.  I was delighted...and then the COVID-19 outbreak and precautions came and Flat Ariana didn't get any of the outings she had hoped for.

But, come on, it was Aunt Becky's house afterall, of course we had adventures and so much fun!

 One of the things we HAD to do was make Flat Ariana an Everyday Purse! How cute is this one with that little pink bow!
