Foggy Morn

It's a beautiful foggy morning here in the High Country.
The fog is thick and unexpected.
These are two shots of the fog lolly gagging about.
Top Shot: A real beauty of a fat and a wide all white
azalea bush (rare) we spied at an 'out
in the country' yard sale. There were loads of huge black
bumble bees floating in and out of the blossoms,
but do you know that they don't like being photographed?
What a great way to start off this week!
Enjoy!
Come and walk these ol' hills (with me!)

Foggy Hill

Late February fog presses in like a
blanket on the muddy, wooded hill.

(The answers to yesterday's post are:

Bottom: Mary Cassatt. "Little Girl in a Blue
Armchair;" 1878.

Middle: Claude Oscar Monet; "Jean Monet
In His Cradle."

Top: Auguste Renoir. "Girl With A Watering Can;"
many people's favorite!

I really enjoy Mary Cassatt's painting;
it is one of my all time favorites.
I love the subject matter in this-the little girl
'all out' from hard playing on the gorgeous
blue chair and then surrounded by the
blue chairs! Good work.

Foggy, Creepy Day

Ahead...

A Bit Creepy...

Where Does the Road Go?

"You Want to Go Ahead...Are You Sure?"

Foggy, creepy day-
Fog won't go away...
It rests around the mountain, deep
As if into our bones, it seeps...
It curls upon the hills and weeps-
Foggy, creepy day.

Gray Quiet

Far Away Hill in the Morning Fog; All is Dark

75 Foot Tree Flanked with Climbing Ivy (Still Green)

My thoughts are quiet and well grayed down today,
like the outdoor color that awaits me. As I leave the door I surmise
that this is a warm winter day. It is wet but not too awfully cold for this walk.
The well muted color in the wood all around is causing me to forget--
what summer's dense greenery even looked like.
As I turn back for home, I lift my weighted feet up the hill.
Plop, plop, go my own feet, heavy on the pavement.

Foggy Fingers

Fog Line

Misty Wood

The 'Thick' of It

Foggy grasp
and fog filled sigh
have gripped the mountain trees so high.
It won't turn loose nor let go;
it lingers
meanders
wanders
and holds
my back with the slick trees.
Dewey thick drip-drops tickle and tease
their way down the bark
my camera
and neck
on this here fog-filled mountain.

Amazing Weather Shots

Gorgeous shots from yesterday, early early in
the morning before the mist had a great chance
to rise up and off the mountains tops...causing
them to look much like little islands.
When I saw the way the mountains looked
I quickly pulled the car off to take
these
shots along the parkway!
Bottom
: A hail
storm the
other day left this residue.
It was very dense...and cold.
Amazing!
