    What a fun recipe! and so much better than the Grapenuts cereal you buy in the store. I used 1/2 c. brown sugar and it was plenty tasty enough for me. I used buttermilk and also blended the oats down to a course flour which I thought was ideal. My second bake took a little longer to dry my nuts out enough but only about 10 more minutes.

    Thanks for the cooking invite and I am glad to meet you!! You sound like a very mature and responsible 18 year old!!! I have a 17 year old son and he's good at helping me out in the kitchen when he's not on a baseball field somewhere. You have posted some interesting recipes I look forward to checking them out.     Nice to see you stop by my Strawberry Shortcake Cookie recipes...I've been accused of bein' a food snob or an elitist cus of my tendency to not use packaged foods or over processed stuff...but, I gotta admit, I've become nearly obsessed with creating new cake mix cookie variations! :) (baking isn't my strongest talent, so I'll often accept shortcuts, there! hehehe)
