Spinach Dumpling Stew

- 1 lb. ground beef shopping list
- 1 32. oz. jar spaghetti sauce shopping list
- 1 4.5 oz jar sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 2 tbls. bottled creamy Italian dressing shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- Dumplings shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, (thawed, and squeezed to drain) shopping list
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated shopping list
- 2 tbls. oil shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4-1/2 cup milk (start with 1/4 cup) shopping list
How to make it
- In skillet, brown ground beef, then drain
- Add spaghetti sauce, mushrooms, salad dressing and water
- Bring to boil
- Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally
- Dumplings
- In mixing bowl, blend flour baking powder and salt
- In another mixing bowl, combine spinach, cheese, oil, egg, and milk and mix well
- Add to dry ingredients and stir until just combined, adding more milk if needed to form soft dough
- Drop dough by tbls. onto stew
- Cover tightly and simmer until dumplings are fluffy, about 12-14 minutes
