BBQ Leg of Lamb

- BARBECUED leg of lamb shopping list
- 1 6 lb leg of lamb, boned and flattened shopping list
- Marinade: shopping list
- 2 Tbsp vinegar 1 clove garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1/2 c olive oil 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp pepper (white or black) shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 2 1/2 c chili sauce 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1 tsp chili pepper 2 tsp hot sauce shopping list
- 3/4 c olive oil 1 tsp dry mustard shopping list
- 1/2 c lemon juice 1/2 c water shopping list
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar 2 c finely chopped onion shopping list
- 2 Tbsp tarragon vinegar 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- The Marinade:
- Combine all sauce ingredients, and marinate the lamb in this mixture for 2 hours. Broil over charcoal embers for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, turning frequently and brushing every 5 minutes with this hot barbecue sauce:
- The Sauce:
- Combine ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Best served with lamb, chicken, spare ribs.
