Delightful Cream Cheese Bars

This recipe comes from my niece Lexie. She was on a base in Germany for 2 years while her husband, my nephew was in Iraq. She learned to cook from a lieutenant's wife who took all the young girls under her wing. Read more Lexie came home with so many great recipes from her stay on base. Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans shopping list
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened shopping list
- 1 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 8 ounces frozen whipped topping thawed shopping list
- 1 large chocolate instant pudding shopping list
How to make it
- In a rectangular baking dish mix margarine, flour and 3/4 cup pecans.
- Press down in bottom to make crust then bake at 400 for 20 minutes then cool completely.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and whipping topping in bowl then spread on cooled crust.
- Mix pudding as directed for pie then spread on top of cream cheese layer.
- Top with remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with remaining nuts.
- Let chill at least one hour before serving.
