How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees C
  • Fold all ingredients except butter together
  • Add melted butter to mix and fold through
  • Spray pie form or casserole dish, and add mix
  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs and grated cheese on top to get some crunch going
  • Cook for 40-45 mins at 180degrees, then 10 mins at 120 degrees C
  • Serve with a leafy salad and crusty bread

  • 60 g butter melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup plain flour with 1/2 tspn baking powder
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • assorted fresh herbs and powdered spices- curry and coriander is great, or chili and parsley... you choose!!!
  • 1 cup grated low fat cheese
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • any left over veges (pumpkin or sweet potato is YUM in this pie)
  • 1 cup (ish) of ham or leftover meats
  • Add another egg if it gets too dry, or a little water
