    I have made this salad for years, love it, but I add sugar to the vinegar, and no celery seed. I am going to add it, sounds good

    My mom used to make a similar salad when i was a kid.... thinly sliced cukes and onions with vegetable oil, white vinegar, water, salt and pepper. It was delicious because it was so simple. The longer it sat in the fridge, the better it tasted. Thanks for sharing your recipe! :)
