Sandwhich Cubano

- Cuban bread / French bread shopping list
- Sliced sweet cured ham shopping list
- roasted pork shopping list
- pickles (I hate pickle cucumber and use pickled carrots instead) shopping list
- swiss cheese (or another strong flavored white cheese) shopping list
How to make it
- Slice a 12" section of cuban bread and cut it horizontally so you have 2 open face slices. (like making a sub)
- Spread a small amount of mustard on the slices (Cuban sandwiches never have mayonnaise on them)
- Layer the cheese, pickles, shredded pork and thin sliced ham on a slice of the sandwich.
- Put the top on
- Butter the outside of the bread
- In a skillet heat the sandwich, and press another skillet on top (cast iron works well, you could also use a brick wrapped in foil)
- When one side is pretty cooked, flip the sandwhich and cook the other.
- After the sandwhich is mashed down and the cheese melted you cut it into wedges, and then eat.
