Cinnamon Raisin Scones

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 4 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/3 cup margarine or butter shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups Stater Bros shopping list
- honey oats & Flakes cereal crushed to 1 3/4 cups shopping list
- 2 eggs beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1/2 cup raisins shopping list
- 1 egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Grease baking sheet.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon in large bowl.
- Cut in margarine until mixture forms coarse crumbs.
- Add cereal; mix well.
- Combine two eggs, buttermilk, and raisins in separate bowl; add to cereal mixture and stir until dough clings together.
- Knead on lightly floured surface 5 to 6 strokes.
- Divide dough in half.
- Roll or pat each half into a 6-inch circle, 3/4-inch thick.
- Cut each circle into 6 wedges.
- Separate and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Brush tops with egg and water mixture.
- Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
