Cream Cheese Butter Cookies

- 1/2 pound butter shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2-1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 1 tsp of either vanilla or almond extract shopping list
- 4 oz softened cream cheese shopping list
- jam of choices shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400
- Cream together butter & sugar
- Add flour and egg yolk & extract and mix well
- Add cream cheese and mix well
- Roll into 5/8" balls
- Place on ungreased cookie sheets (cookies do not spread when baked so you can put them together somewhat)
- Press your thumb into each to flatten it and make an indentation.
- Fill with jam
- Bake 350 for about 15-20 minutes
- Watch to be sure they do not brown to much around edges
- You want them cooked but still light in color

These were lovely. I made them to accompany a white chocolate raspberry swirl cheesecake for a party, and drizzled them with a white chocolate glaze when cool. They were devoured! Thanks for the recipe....
