Taito

One of the longest running companies in the videogame business (with a company history dating back to 1953, where it serves as a sundry goods distribution company and vending machine manufacturing company called Taito Trading Company), Taito is a Japanese company that produces videogame titles for a large number of platforms and markets. Its products include the enormously popular Space Invaders franchise (released in 1978.)

Taito Corp. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
