Are you dizzy with excitement about nail polish?

Here is one of Icing's magnetic polishes, called "Magnetix."  I don't believe it has a name, so I will call it blue/purple.  Very creative of me.
I had a hang nail, which I've attempted to fuzz out for your viewing comfort.  :)
I debated whether or not to layer this over black, but ended up just using two coats of the polish.  I couldn't see any difference on a nail wheel, so I suppose the only good reason to layer over black would be to conserve the magnetic polish.
This polish is so pretty.  I am super duper pleased with it!
The areas that look like dark blue are actually more blurple in real life.  They have a really cool teeny tiny fine sort of pink shimmer in them, too.
I definitely had a few issues with application, but mainly due to my clumsiness and the fact that my thumbs are so big (I guess?!).  I ended up re-doing a few nails because I either touched the magnet to the polish or smooshed a nail up against another finger.  Also, the polish is almost too thick and dries pretty quickly, which made it challenging as well.
My thumbs definitely looked kind of lame because the pattern didn't show all the way across - only in the middle, but hey, still a very cool effect over all and I don't think most people would care too much.  Not only are my thumb nails big and wide across, but apparently they are too curved for the pattern to appear evenly.
No worries, though!  The pictures are great!  The mani was great!  Overall, I do recommend this polish and I think it's a very snazzy way to wear a mani.  I absolutely love the curvy, wavy pattern, too.

This is my first time wearing magnetic polish for my mani!
I started with a single coat of Illamasqua Boosh.  Then I added a coat of Layla Magneffect Velvet Groove.
I forgot how the magnet orientation worked, so I accidentally ended up with vertical lines.  It's all good, though!
It reminds me of pulled sugar or taffy or some sort of confection (I am not a candy maker, but maybe you know what I'm thinking of).  :)
I only wish my nails were flatter, maybe, because I wish more of the cool effect would hit the sides of my nails.  Is that weird?  I ordered this and some other colors from Amazon.

This Is Me!

I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
