I love this polish so so so so much.  It's Deborah Lippmann Swagga Like Us.
I know there are a least a few dupes out there.  I think I love this even more than Chanel Peridot (which I quite like!).  It's a bit more flashy and dramatic.
My pictures only begin to capture the coolness of this polish.  It flashes from blue, to green, to gold, to a bronzy almost coppery sort of color.  SO COOL.
My apologies for the little bubbles.  My amazeballs Sephora X top coat tends to give me a few little bubbles, no matter how careful I am.  I put up with it, though, because HELLO crazy long wear time.  :)

This is two coats of Essie Come Here.  I really like this color (lately).
Application was very easy but I stupidly chose to use Dior's top coat over top and thus my beautiful mani only lasted about a day.  :(
Next was Lippmann's Sugar Rum Cherry, from a LE holiday Bloomingdales trio set.
I used three coats here and followed with my usual Sephora X top coat.  I got great wear time with this one - around a week.
I made sure to go slowly between coats, as this type of polish finish will always bubble on me if I rush.
The shimmers are really complex and gorgeous.
Not my usual sort of color, if there is such a thing, but I enjoyed wearing it!

This is three coats of Two Fingered Salute.  I used the Sephora X base and top coats with it.  This color is really unique being a dusty sea foam sort of minty green with copper micro glitters.
I did this manicure at my parents' house, in very poor lighting, with no clean up!  I was very worried about how it was going to turn out, but really, aside from my nails looking very ridged here, the actual manicure came out well.  :)  I couldn't even tell you if I needed that third coat of polish or not because of the dim lighting.  Ha!
The formula on this polish was a bit odd to me.  It was thick and stiff, definitely not the easiest to work with.  Had I been at home, I would have for sure added thinner to it.  It also seemed to dry very quickly - almost too quickly, if that makes sense.

Do you like this one?

This is two easy coats of Starlight and Sparkles Blaze Crystal topped with Crystal top coat.  The application was lovely and the wear has been great, especially for a holo!
I love, love, love this color, but what are we going to call it?!  I get so confused with the warm metallics.  I want to say it's gold leaning bronze, but then I'm also feeling like it leans copper.  In most lighting it looks like a warm, soft, gold on me and I find it quite flattering on my cool toned skin.
Fast forward to three days after application, and we have sun!!  Yay!  Pardon the small chip on my index finger.  I am really impressed with the Crystal top coat so far.  It dried fast and shiny and has done a good job protecting the mani.  It's not quite as fast drying as SV, but then again, what is?  The texture and consistency are great as well - not too thick and not too thin.  Not overly smelly.  :)
Now for the exciting news!  Issa is running a Thanksgiving sale code November 23rd through the 26th!  10% off with code TURKEYDAY2012.  You can find her beautiful polishes here.
Do take a look at the Starlight polishes and I hope you'll take advantage of the sale!  I've had nothing but good experiences with these nail polishes.

Thanks so much Issa for the sale code and for providing Blaze Crystal to me for review!  :)

This is Cult Nails Afterglow.  I needed three coats here.
This is a beautiful and unique shade of brown.  It has a coppery burgundy feel to it as well as being slightly duochrome.  It also has beautiful sparkles that look nearly like glitter in my photos!
It's too hard to explain in words and I fear my pictures don't do it any justice either.  If you love warm Fall colors, then you need Afterglow.  It's amazing.
Sadly, my wear has been crapola on this, I'm not sure why.  One nail peeled off in a complete sheet and another nail has a big chip off the side in under 24 hours.  I'm sad that I didn't get to enjoy this mani a little while longer!

This is the lovely Phoenix Rising from Lippmann.  It's part of a new set called Rock This Town, and is apparently Limited Edition.  No wonder I love it so.  Never mind the ding in my index finger nail.  I bumped it before everything was dry enough.

I used just two coats and finished with Dior's top coat, which is something new for me.  I've always wanted to try the Dior top coat and recently bought it.  I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.  I know I'm not a fan of the big brush...but formula wise, I need more time to fully evaluate it.  First impressions:  very thin and doesn't dry as fast as I'd like.
These pictures were taken on day two, and I guess that's why I have a small chip on my pinky tip.  Oh well.  At least I managed to get pictures at all!  Last week was kind of crazy.  Since I haven't said so yet, I'll say now that I really love Phoenix Rising.  It's shimmery and fabulous and I always enjoy a good copper.  The other two colors in the set look very promising as well!

In this post you are getting two ways to wear Lynnderella Glass Houses!
The first way I wore it was with Zoya Sloane underneath.  I used two coats of Sloane.
Sloane is a deep vampy plum color and I love it for reminding me of Ferris Bueller!!
Let's see, I believe I did two coats of Glass Houses over top.
The look reminds me a lot of Fall leaves and Halloween candy all at the same time!
Next is Glass Houses all by itself!
I don't really imagine that Glass Houses is meant to be worn by itself (not that there are rules in nail polish), but I got the crazy idea to try it anyway!  I'm glad I did.
I used four coats of it, the last two of which I used a combination of dabbing and painting motions.
It was not perfectly opaque, but darn near close enough for me.  After I did this mani, I was unsure about it, but it did grow on me very quickly and I quite love it now!
On top, I used a coat of Gelous, a coat of Pro FX top coat (that was very random of me and I remember why I don't prefer it because the brush is too big and the formula a little gloopy), and another coat of Gelous the following morning.
It wore well for me for just about three days, which is terrific, and then everything popped off in complete pieces, which is a little disturbing but also good I suppose as I did not have to deal with regular removal, which I'm sure would have been a hassle.
I wonder if it popped off that way because of my putting another coat of Gelous over everything later on after the Pro FX had dried.  But still, it held on like an iron champ for most of the three days!
Would you wear Glass Houses alone?  I really miss Fall in the north.  Thankfully it's getting to be just a little bit less hot here now, but we really don't get much of a Fall here in Florida.  :/

This is three coats of Nicole by OPI Just Busta Mauve.
It's one of the new, Target exclusive colors this Fall.
It's a really interesting and complex color that is super shimmery and gorgeous.  What on earth, I ask, would you call this color?!  It's not really mauve.
I love the blue shimmer in it!  It also has a multichrome aspect to it that I find really wonderful.
I see pink, blue, copper, bronze, brown, burgundy, orange, and silver - I think.  Very cool color!!!

I have more Starlight and Sparkles swatches for you!  Nayru is shown above, over black, with NO top coat.  A little bumpy by itself.
Here it is with a coat of Glitter Tamer over top.  Much better!!
Nayru is so uber sparkly and twinkly and amazing.  It reminds me of some celestial fantasy.
There is so much dimension and energy to it!
I could look at this for a very long time and be quite content.  :)
Nayru applied easily, like all my other Starlight and Sparkles polishes have, and aside from needing some extra top coat, it is completely fantastic!

See how complex and interesting the different shades of blue are?  Like tiny twinkling blue stars.
Next is Farore.  Here I have also swatched with base coat, one coat of Diamond Cosmetics Matte Black, a coat of Farore, and a coat of Glitter Tamer (Lynnderella).
Farore has complex twinkles of green, bronze, and gold.  It's really quite fascinating.
I must confess that I have had very little luck with my Glitter Tamer in the past, but it sure came in handy for swatching purposes here!  It didn't give me any trouble this time and dried very quickly as well.
 Super shiny, mega twinkly awesomeness!
It looks slightly foggy in bright, direct light.  I'm not sure why, but it definitely does not detract from the beautiful shimmer.
As usual, I have taken far too many pictures!  I do hope that you enjoy them.  :)
You can see the colors of the tiny sparkles more clearly in indirect light.
Din is last, but not least, in the trio of "color shifting sparkle glitter top coats."
Din is warmer with copper, bronze, and gold accents.
It almost looks like tiny embers or sparks.
Check out the flashes of copper coming from the index finger!!
This one also has a bit of the foggy or milky look to it, but only when it's in direct and very bright light (I probably sound crazy here, but I'm referring to the base color and not the sparkles).
Din is absolutely gorgeous, just like Farore and Nayru!

Here are a couple of slightly blurry pictures I took indoors, near a window.  I liked how the sparkle really stood out and came alive.
Next I am going to show you the Starlight holographic top coat.
You could use this over any type of polish and color, but I chose to show it here over simple black and white.  For the white I used two coats of Revlon Powder Puff.
I only used one coat of Starlight over top of the black and white, and no top coat.
I dipped my brush twice when painting the index nail, versus the ring fingernail, and you can probably appreciate the slight differences in opacity shown.
Also, I apologize for the botched spot on my pinky nail near the cuticle.  I bumped it with my cuticle oil pen tip and couldn't be bothered to re-do it!
This would definitely look great over just about everything, I imagine.
You can find Starlight and Sparkles polishes at Issa's Etsy store here.  Thanks to Issa for generously providing these to me for review!

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
