Hey hey heeeeyyyy.  This is MAC Fierce Entrance with Givenchy Bronze Précieux.  I used two coats of each polish.  Application was great on both!
This was my first time doing a two-finger accent mani, as such.  I liked it!
I think Fierce Entrance is a really stupid name, honestly, but I adore this color.  Love love love!  Bronze Précieux is not as golden olivey awesome as it looks in the bottle, but it's still very nice.  I'm always drawn to dark olive/khaki/army green kind of colors, despite them not looking too great against my pale pink skin.
Please pardon my dry skin here and my absence as of late!  I really need to step it up!

This was a pretty groovy combo.  I used three coats of Crowstoes Celaeno and a coat of Rainbow Honey Soul Gem.
I have a mini Soul Gem, and I'm tempted to buy a full-sized one!  It's so pretty and the shimmers are perfectly smooth.
Celaeno is a really fab shifter, going from bronze to gold to green.  And of course, it's all shimmery and whatnot!!
Being that my nails were very short here, I was actually patient and let the layers dry pretty well in between.  I was shocked to not have any tip shrink by doing this.  Hooray for patience!!
This mani wore very well for me.  I want to say five days, give or take.
Check out all the yummy green above!
Celaeno was a little thick for me, during application.  I think if you go slow, like I did, you shouldn't have any trouble.  Now, if only I knew how to say the name!

I love this polish so so so so much.  It's Deborah Lippmann Swagga Like Us.
I know there are a least a few dupes out there.  I think I love this even more than Chanel Peridot (which I quite like!).  It's a bit more flashy and dramatic.
My pictures only begin to capture the coolness of this polish.  It flashes from blue, to green, to gold, to a bronzy almost coppery sort of color.  SO COOL.
My apologies for the little bubbles.  My amazeballs Sephora X top coat tends to give me a few little bubbles, no matter how careful I am.  I put up with it, though, because HELLO crazy long wear time.  :)

This is two easy coats of Starlight and Sparkles Blaze Crystal topped with Crystal top coat.  The application was lovely and the wear has been great, especially for a holo!
I love, love, love this color, but what are we going to call it?!  I get so confused with the warm metallics.  I want to say it's gold leaning bronze, but then I'm also feeling like it leans copper.  In most lighting it looks like a warm, soft, gold on me and I find it quite flattering on my cool toned skin.
Fast forward to three days after application, and we have sun!!  Yay!  Pardon the small chip on my index finger.  I am really impressed with the Crystal top coat so far.  It dried fast and shiny and has done a good job protecting the mani.  It's not quite as fast drying as SV, but then again, what is?  The texture and consistency are great as well - not too thick and not too thin.  Not overly smelly.  :)
Now for the exciting news!  Issa is running a Thanksgiving sale code November 23rd through the 26th!  10% off with code TURKEYDAY2012.  You can find her beautiful polishes here.
Do take a look at the Starlight polishes and I hope you'll take advantage of the sale!  I've had nothing but good experiences with these nail polishes.

Thanks so much Issa for the sale code and for providing Blaze Crystal to me for review!  :)

Rainbow Honey was kind enough to send me their new collection to review, The Yokai.  It will be launching on October 13 and for a limited time only.  Stay tuned to Rainbow Honey's site here!
I received Kitsune, Kawako, and Oni just yesterday and was happy as could be to swatch them for you this morning.
All swatches are shown with base coat, two coats of of polish, and a coat of top coat.  Kitsune is a golden peachy nude color with red tiny glitters, golden shimmers, and holo bits.
I think it's really fresh and pretty.  It reminds me of beautiful golden sands or some kind of exotic bird egg shell!  The formula is on the thick side and will likely benefit from some thinner.
If I were wearing this as a mani, I would definitely add an extra coat of top coat as well, to make the finish more smooth.
Next is Kawako, a beautiful deep blue.
When I saw the bottle, I thought for sure this would be my favorite.  It's dark, blue, super shimmery and glittery...what's not to love?!
I must confess that I had some difficulty in application.  I ended up redoing my ring finger for the swatch pictures.  The first go around was very lumpy bumpy due to bits of flakies hiding in the polish.
You can see the texture showing above.  It would for sure need extra topcoat and you do want to be careful in applying it.  Thin coats seem to help, but even still, things get a bit tricky on the second coat.
I don't personally get the point of the flakie pieces in this particular polish as they don't seem to be apparent or visible.  Perhaps it is meant to be layered thinly over something else?  I'm just not sure.
It's still quite pretty and I'm a big fan of the twinkling silver and blue glitters and shimmers.
I'd like to try a thin coat of Kawako over black some time.
Now for my head over heels favorite, Oni!
Oni easily has my heart.  It's a blackish base with tons of yellow gold, white gold, purple, and what appears to be black glitters and shimmers.  Some of the pieces are irregular shaped, albeit very small.
The overall effect is absolutely stunning!  I heart it so much.
 Application and formula were excellent.
This is a polish I can see myself wearing a lot.  It's dark and brooding, regal and sparkly, and totally badazz.
I really love Rainbow Honey polishes, so a huge thanks to Dee for sending these to me!  I'm very much looking forward to wearing them soon.  :)

Okay, Nation!  This is it!  The finale swatch post for Starlight and Sparkles.  It's a doozy!
All swatches are shown using a coat of base, a coat of Diamond Cosmetics Matte Black, a coat of the shown polish, and no top coat.
Oak Evolution is a beautiful green fleck shimmer.
It looks like little tiny pieces of crushed glass.
 This is Silver Moon Crystal.
It looks mostly pearly and silvery over top of the black, but also has a subtle element of soft pastel kind of colors due to the iridescence of the flecks.
 It's really delicate and pretty.
I found the formula on these particular polishes to be slightly thinner than all the previous ones I had swatched and/or worn.  I did not have any application issues, however.

 This is Flame Sniper.
It shows bits of plummy purple, pink, and orange in the little flecks.
By this point in my rather epic swatch-a-thon, the sun was getting lower and not favoring me as much for my photos.  I had a hard time finding my best angles and I apologize for that.
Just imagine me running all around the edges of the pool and various spots out on the patio area, trying to find the best light!
You can pick out the complexity of shimmer and colors below, in indirect light.  It kind of reminds me of Orly Rococo A-Go-Go, with the warm plum and hints of orange.
Next is Silence Glaive.  I am not a Sailor Moon fan myself (tell me, am I missing something really great?), but I'm sure those of you who are will appreciate all the Sailor Moon themed polishes shown here!
Silence Glaive has lovely blurple shimmer and teeny bits of...I want to say orange.
The overall effect of this one is subtle yet gorgeous.
Here I was really fighting the sun!
One of these days I hope to have a light box or some other really great set up for taking pictures indoors.  For now, I rely on the generally present and cooperative Florida sun!
Aqua Rhapsody is loaded with beautiful aqua blue shimmers.
I always love a good blue!
The combination of the blue flecks over black is just fantastic, too, if you ask me.  Blackened blue, anyone?!
Now you can see the shimmer pop out more in less direct light.
It's just so pretty!  I absolutely adore it.

Last, but not least, is Love and Beauty Shock.
Love and Beauty Shock has lots of gold toned flecks.
They look like antique brass over the black!
It's really sparkly and beautiful, that's for sure.
How terrific is it in the shade?!
I really enjoy how evenly and smoothly the shimmers and flecks apply.  I had no trouble or difficulty with any of these polishes in terms of formula and application.
Thanks for taking this shimmertastic journey with me and I hope you enjoyed Starlight and Sparkles polishes as much as I have!  In my humble opinion, they are well made, special and worth a look.  I can't wait to see what Issa creates next!

You can find Starlight and Sparkles on Etsy, here.  These polishes were graciously provided to me for review purposes.

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
