Are you dizzy with excitement about nail polish?

This is Nails Inc. Porchester Square.  I used three coats, although I likely could have gotten away with just two.  It applied so nicely that I think I kind of wanted to just keep going!
This was my accidental New Year's Eve and New Year's mani!  I was planning to replace it on New Year's Eve, but life got in the way, and it still looked good, thankfully.
I got so many compliments wearing this one.  I think the general public really enjoys a good nude!  Porchester Square looks very different on me depending on what lighting I'm in.  At times it looks very mauvey-purplish!  My pics here do not show that at all.
I also find that this shade flatters pretty much every skin tone.  It's a winner!  I was lucky enough to get the crystal cap version on sale at Sephora a while back.

This is three coats of Essie Chinchilly.  I would first off like to say that I would love to own a Chinchilla someday!  Second, I've had this polish as an untried for a long time.  Third, I really really love it!
I don't know why my fingers look so red here.  The polish dries darker on the nail than it appears in the bottle.  Also, my pictures refused to capture it, but to my eye, it looked slightly purple toned.  I'm really loving the gray-ish and dusty tones lately!

This is NerdLacquer's Entirely Unlike Tea.
I cannot for the life of me remember this name when I try to think of it - I always think it's called "Certainly Unlike Tea."  I don't know what my problem is.  Mental block!
Anyway, this is three coats of Entirely Unlike Tea followed with only one coat of Seche Vite.
Glittery, shimmery, iridescent mega fun polish that's smooth with one coat of top coat?!  Heck, yes!
Sorry these pictures are lackluster.  It was another dreary rainy day.  The base color here does for sure remind me of tea, and I love the silvery and pinky flashes from the shimmer.  It's a really neutral yet very interesting polish.  I'm not normally a fan of beige.

Now I am wearing three coats of Essence Irreplaceable. It's one of the newer polishes to show up in the Essence core line at Ulta stores.

This polish has a gorgeous glass-flecked shimmer that is iridescent gold with a subtle green twist.

I was Ooo-ing and Aah-ing when I first picked up the bottle.

I'm really not loving this on me, though. Next to my skin, it just looks "off" somehow. Too warm, too drab, too blah - I can't quite put my finger on it yet.

I'm hoping that it grows on me, in any case.

I put this on the other night because of a week long MUA Nail Board challenge offered by Finch96. *waves "hi" to Finch* The deal is, if you like the bling, you have to wear conservative, understated colors all week. If you like and normally wear conservative colors, you have to wear glitter and ka-pow blingtastic stuff.

So, here I am with three coats of BB Couture For Men Intake Valve.

Intake Valve has a secret golden shimmer that doesn't translate onto the nail. It's a really hard color to describe in words. I'd say cool beige with a hint of rose. Don't be deceived by the warmth of the picture below - that's just the morning sun making it look warm!

This color feels Mod and fresh to me. It's definitely not what I normally wear, but it's kind of fun and different! I've gotten quite a few compliments on it, too, which is always a plus!

As for my toes, I was not thinking about the challenge when I did my pedi on Tuesday. I used OPI Boo-Berry with Hard Candy Break Up. It is so cool, I can hardly stand it. Don't ask me why, but I just looooove glow-in-the-dark pedis! And then add glitter....perfection. *sigh*

For those of you who may be ready to throw (hopefully small) stones at me for showing you a whole bloody week of Clarins 230, I have a little "stone" for you, too! :D I hope you love it.

This is two dreamy coats of Misa PaintMyNails@Work. It applied most perfectly.

Please excuse my sad cuticles in the above picture, but I include it because I think it helps to show how the color of the polish looks different in different settings.

It's hard for me to describe in words, but in several of these pictures, the polish just looks a bit different. It kind of goes beige, gray, taupe, stone, and then also has just a hint of mauve-y coolness to it that I am wild about.

You know, probably two to three years ago I would have never seen myself in colors like this. How the times have changed!

PaintMyNails@Work is from Misa's 9 to 5 collection. I ordered it with a few others from here.

I just noticed that the new Paradise Shore collection is available for purchase now, too! Figures. :)

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
