Many of you already know about Rainbow Honey's latest collection, Summer Mixtape, which launched just a few days ago.  Here is a little review of the three polishes I have.  I was sent Control, Shark Attack, and Elevate.  Imagine how pleased I was to open up these beauties!!
This is two coats of Control, a glorious neon pink shimmer.  I did use top coat here, as it dried matte due to being a neon.  Application was easy and smooth.
This color is so summery and beautiful and I love the addition of iridescent shimmer bits (always and forever)!
Putting a coat of Elevate over top of Control seemed the natural and right thing to do!  Elevate has really fun matte glitters including circles and triangles.  So cool!  I literally slapped a coat on not carefully at all and am happy with the results.  (No top coat used here, but I certainly would if I was doing this for a mani.)
I really like Elevate and anticipate it being a great topper over many colors.
With Shark Attack, I opted for a blue base, using two coats of Urban Decay Chaos.  As an aside, I love Chaos, but why does it smell like crazy toxic onions?!  Shark Attack is blue, silver, and red glitters primarily, all swimming in a blue jelly base.  See the little "shark fin" triangle on my middle finger?
I love the teeny red glitters in Shark Attack and I think the name and concept of this polish are really rad!  If you are curious about wearing this one on its own, I'm sure you could, but I decided not to since the jelly base looks pretty sheer.  This one I also applied very haphazardly!  No problems, issues, or complaints here.  I used a coat of top coat here - it was needed.  I would have added a coat of Gelous under that for a mani, just to get everything extra smooth.

Now for the exciting part!  There is a discount code for Rainbow Honey!  Use MIXTAPE20 to get 20% off your next order.  WOOHOO!  This code expires 8/31/2014.  I think an early birthday order may be in my future.  :)  You can see all that Rainbow Honey has to offer at their site here.

Thank you so very much to Rainbow Honey for sending me these polishes to review.  I really appreciate it and keep up the great work on such super cool colors, glitters, and concepts!  All the opinions in this review are honest and my own.  While I am happy to receive these nail polishes free of charge, I am not paid to do this post or review.

It's been a busy summer so far.  I'm still hoping very much to get back in the groove of more regular posting.  I hope that everyone out there is doing well and enjoying all the pretty polish!  XOXO

The top pink bottle above is Rainbow Honey Be Mine and the purple and pink glitter mix below is Papillon.
I used two coats of Be Mine and dabbed on a coat of Papillon for my accent.  Two coats of top coat were enough to smooth over the beautiful butterfly!
I have to say that I really love the color of Be Mine in these pictures.  I'm going to sound like a total weirdo by saying that I really didn't care for it next to my skin tone in real life!  The gold flakie shimmer bits, however, are so lovely.
With Papillion I did gently place the butterfly glitter just using the brush included.  I can't imagine that it would be too tricky to place a few through a full mani if one was so inclined.
Speaking of placing cute glitters on a full mani - here we have just that with Rainbow Honey Summer Blossom over Illamasqua Monogamous.
I absolutely adore this combination and felt super chic wearing it for about five days.
By dabbing Summer Blossom over top of Monogamous, I was really easily able to achieve this look.  It reminds me of the Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh packaging!

Application and wear time were very good with all three of the Rainbow Honey polishes.  They were generously provided to me for review purposes.  I was also given The Kraken (which you can see again here) and XOXO (click here).

I do so enjoy Rainbow Honey polishes.  If you haven't tried them yet, what are you waiting for?!  There is also a nifty coupon code right now (expires 3/31/2014), which gives you $5 off your next order:  ILOVENAILBLOGS

You can shop for Rainbow Honey on their site here.

Rainbow Honey just released a brand new collection of 15 polishes called "The Final Battle."  They were generous enough to send me three mini polishes to review here.
This first one is called Phoenix Down.  I have layered one coat over a coat of black polish.  I used top coat and base coat in all of these pictures.
Phoenix Down is super cool!  It's got loads of good stuff in it and applied very easily.  I love the combination of white shards, red squares, and the iridescent bars that look blue over the black!
Check out the teeny tiny little bar glitters, too!  So cool!
I'm sure this one would look really great over lots of colors.
This is the second polish I got and it's called Hellfire.
Here I've layered it over one coat of Illamasqua Scarab.  I was going to use black again, but then noticed that Hellfire has tiny little black glitters in it.  They get lost in the mix, I'm afraid, but I still like how this looks over blackened red.
Do you see the star on my ring finger?  This one applied very easily, as well.
I love the red squares and the gold bars...and pretty much everything going on here!
Last up is Emerald Weapon.  I did two coats of it here.
It's super pretty and shimmery!  Ignore the one random blue glitter on my ring finger (if you see it) - that was lurking in my top coat and has nothing to do with Emerald Weapon.  Oops!
This one applied very easily as well.  I'm happy that it only needed two coats.  It's a very lovely shade of blueish green.
Overall, I am impressed, as usual.  I'm probably going to be ordering the entire collection because it looks fantastic!  You can check it out at Rainbow Honey's site here.

This review is my own honest opinion.  I am thankful and appreciative to Rainbow Honey for allowing me to be a part of their blogger review team.  :)

I've been having weird luck with my manis lately - some lasting a good, long time and others chipping within a day.  Here are two of the unlucky ones!  This is Deborah Lippmann Let's Go Crazy.  I only needed two coats of polish, and it applied very nicely.  I did, however, use two coats of Gelous over top, plus top coat!
It was super smooth and shiny.  I had a little bit of tip shrink (which annoys me to no end), but it was hardly noticeable in person.  I would definitely like to wear this again, and hopefully for more than a day.
This is one coat of Rescue Beauty Lounge Dead Calm with one coat of  Rainbow Honey Mt. Moon over top.
Dead Calm applied very nicely, but was a bugger to clean up since it stains and clings to the skin so much.
Mt. Moon has a really lovely duochrome shift from blue to purple.  I don't think my pictures here captured it all that well.
With the random flakey white bits, it was almost a galaxy nail type of look!
I was also sad that this one didn't last well on me.  Beautiful, but short-lived.

Rainbow Honey Mint Flavor, three coats.  It's so unexpectedly amazing!!
The color just demands attention.  It's so fresh and lovely.
Application was easy.  I did not get good wear at all, much to my dismay (it chipped in a day).  It's so gorgeous, though, that I will be sure to try it again soon.
Did you get this one?  Are you planning to?  I'm not sure I've seen another blue-ish, green-ish, mint color quite like it!

This was a pretty groovy combo.  I used three coats of Crowstoes Celaeno and a coat of Rainbow Honey Soul Gem.
I have a mini Soul Gem, and I'm tempted to buy a full-sized one!  It's so pretty and the shimmers are perfectly smooth.
Celaeno is a really fab shifter, going from bronze to gold to green.  And of course, it's all shimmery and whatnot!!
Being that my nails were very short here, I was actually patient and let the layers dry pretty well in between.  I was shocked to not have any tip shrink by doing this.  Hooray for patience!!
This mani wore very well for me.  I want to say five days, give or take.
Check out all the yummy green above!
Celaeno was a little thick for me, during application.  I think if you go slow, like I did, you shouldn't have any trouble.  Now, if only I knew how to say the name!

This mani was rockstar-tacular, if I do say so!  I LOVED it.
I started with two easy coats of Rainbow Honey Apple Kid, a super bright almost neon sort of fuchsia with delicate shimmer.  Then I added a coat of Lynnderella Elf Love, which I surely do love.
Is this not like so cute you can hardly stand it?!  Okay, well, maybe it's just me.
I wore this for close to a week, as I recall.
I'm really not so much of a pink fan or pink girl in general, but this is just delicious for me!
Elf Love is turning out to be one of my favorite Lynnderella polishes!  I'm so glad I have it.  Might just start putting it over everything.  :)

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
