How on earth has it been 10 days since my last post?!
I blame illness, retail work, and the Holidays.
This here is three coats of OPI Speak for Your-Elf, a mini from the Ulta Holiday set from - I want to say - last year.  I did another Sephora X experiment by using their base and top coat with this mani.
Results?  HUGE success!  I'm on day seven currently, with only tip wear!  This is so cool.
Ah, this was my previous mani, which I didn't really get any proper pictures of.  I used NerdLacquer Don't Panic (green) and Data Squirrel (red).  It was my glittery funky Christmas themed mani.
I hope you are all doing well and had a great holiday (if you celebrate)!

This is NerdLacquer's Entirely Unlike Tea.
I cannot for the life of me remember this name when I try to think of it - I always think it's called "Certainly Unlike Tea."  I don't know what my problem is.  Mental block!
Anyway, this is three coats of Entirely Unlike Tea followed with only one coat of Seche Vite.
Glittery, shimmery, iridescent mega fun polish that's smooth with one coat of top coat?!  Heck, yes!
Sorry these pictures are lackluster.  It was another dreary rainy day.  The base color here does for sure remind me of tea, and I love the silvery and pinky flashes from the shimmer.  It's a really neutral yet very interesting polish.  I'm not normally a fan of beige.

This is just two coats of NerdLacquer Don't Blink.
I had some tiny bubbles with this one, much to my dismay, so I didn't leave it alone.  I redid it, then added a coat of Pahlish Your Silver Lining.
Now you're seeing two coats of Don't Blink, one coat of Your Silver Lining, two coats of Gelous, and a coat of Seche Vite.
It's hard to tell in these pictures, but you really could still see the speckledness of Don't Blink through Your Silver Lining, which was kind of cool.
Your Silver Lining seems to be a little bit more white, though, while Don't Blink has more of a gray cast - reminding me a lot of Cookies and Cream on its own!
I love all the chunkiness of Your Silver Lining, and how the pieces came out easily and made each nail look super unique and sparkly.
NerdLacquer does not appear to be available anymore.  I'm hoping so much that this changes at a later date!  Pahlish, however is in full swing, when you catch her Etsy store open.  :)

I apologize profusely for the lack of good pictures on this one!  It's NerdLacquer Holy Grail - a holographic, chunky glitter, glow in the dark wonder polish.  I wore this twice recently (and each picture here is from the two different times) but failed to get decent pictures.
This was three coats followed with two coats of Seche Vite.  As you can see just above, on my first mani, I hadn't mixed the bottle well enough and didn't get hardly any chunky glitter on my nails.  The first picture shows more chunky pieces and actually my right hand (not pictured here anywhere) on the second attempt (after having had the bottle upside down for a day in advance), turned out super chunktastic and wonderful!  All that to say, patience and planning.

The formula was a little bit tricky, but not bad at all.  It went on a little thick, but again, didn't cause any real trouble.  The holo is strong and lovely in the sun and the little glitters are iridescent and enchanting in all types of lighting.  The glow in the dark effect is not the strongest, but definitely noticeable and super cool!

I'm afraid to write what I'm about to write.  I don't know what is going on with NerdLacquer or Amanda right now...and I'm afraid....because I really hope she's okay and will be making more polish in the near future!  I love NerdLacquer so much.  Amanda!  I hope you are well.  We miss you!

This is two coats of NerdLacquer Hyperspace Bypass.
 It applied really easily.
I used one coat of Gelous and then one coat of Seche Vite to finish.
It was not perfectly smooth, but good enough for me.
This polish is a really interesting and hard to describe color.  It's definitely yellow, in my opinion, but does have a hint of green to it.  Kind of goldenrod?  Mustardy?  Chartreuse?
I adore the black glitter as well as the smaller iridescent (I don't know whether to call them duochrome or iridescent) and holographic glitters.
As usual, there is just so much going on in there!!
I got more compliments than I expected while wearing this.  I know I love it, but I wasn't so sure that others would.  :)
I do think it would look better on warmer, less pink skin than mine, but not a problem really.  I've never cared too much if a polish clashes with my skin tone!  What do you think?  Do you love it?

This is NerdLacquer Pinin' for the Fjords.
I used three coats, then a coat of Gelous, and finally a coat of Seche Vite.  I could have gone for another coat of either Gelous or Seche Vite, because it wasn't completely smooth when dry.  It was good enough, though.  :)
This polish is jam packed with shimmer and glitter.  I think the base is very lightly tinted blue, but mostly what you see on the nail is just gobs of silver, blue, and purple (tons and tons of silver shimmer).
It's a really beautiful polish and I hate to say it, but I fear that my pictures just don't do it justice.
I had excellent wear time, too, as is usual with NerdLacquers!  I got a good three days of wear time, which is always a great thing for me.
Sorry, I could not get my camera to focus on my nails (instead of the bottle) in this last picture.  I still like how it turned out, though.  I have a healthy appreciation for the occasional blurry nail picture.  I hope it doesn't bother you.

I have yet another glorious NerdLacquer swatch for you!
This is two easy coats of Quasar topped with one coat of top coat.
Quasar is medium-dark green jelly polish filled with a bazillion green, holo, and other colored glitters.
There are some larger green hexes, too, which are always fun.
How pretty is this?  Just wow.
 Do you already have Quasar?
Do you love it as much as I do?

Oh, Nebula!  Let me count the ways I love you!
You are purple, you are jelly, you are sparkly, you are glittery, you are colorful, you have holo glitters, you are easy to apply, you have a space-related name...
This is another NerdLacquer swatch.  I used two coats and finished with top coat.
You can see that when the bright light hits it, it becomes almost red.  Yet in other light it looks very deep, like almost blackened plum.
The glitter in this one is just too cool.  I think there is just about every color in the galaxy in that bottle!
 This is instant love.
It looks like Amanda's shop will be reopening very soon - hopefully in the next day or so!!!  Get excited!!!  You can visit her Etsy shop here.  Also, if anyone is wondering, I have zero affiliation with NerdLacquer.  I'm just a huge, huge fan.  :)

Here's a NerdLacquer swatch of The Selfish Green.
I used two coats and finished with top coat.
I just love the blue shimmer!
I won't lie - I do wish more chunky glitter had ended up on my nails.  But I still absolutely love this polish (no surprise there!).
I'm so pleased with all of my NerdLacquers so far.  I'll be shocked to pieces if I ever find one that I don't love.
They are getting pretty popular now, too, so it's harder to order them due to timing.  You can keep tabs on the shop here.
Or, you can check out Harlow & Co. here or Ninja Polish here.
Thanks for stopping by!

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
