A happy and early Fourth to everyone!  I'm wearing two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Wet Suit topped with a coat of Finger Paints Red, White, and Hue.  I finished with a coat of Starlight & Sparkles Crystal top coat.  Great application on all things mentioned!  And now I'm ready for some time off and some fireworks!  I hope you all have a great holiday.  :)

I used to hate big brushes, and that most definitely included Dior's newer big brush.
This is two SUPER EASY, dare I say MAJESTIC coats of Psychedelic Orange.  And yes, I kind of love that dang big brush now.  It just went on so effortlessly.
The formula on this polish is absolutely superb.  It's a creme but with the tiniest amount of basically imperceptible shimmer.  The application, opacity, smoothness, finish, and wear of Psychedelic Orange is basically perfect.
I've been on a bit of a coral binge for the past year or so now, and this color definitely makes me happy.
The wear time was great, also, thanks to my favorite top coat, Starlight and Sparkles Crystal.  I actually just ordered more of it today!  I've been getting a full week's wear out of nearly all of my manis now.

Hey, y'all!  It's time for a posty post.  I've been such a full-time, hardcore slacker-oo lately.  Partly I'd like to blame the fact that I get longer wear-time with my manis (thanks to some awesome top coat action).  Partly I blame grief.  And mostly, I'm just being lazy, I think.
This is I Love Nail Polish Mutagen.  I'm pretty sure it was three coats.  I finished with my new favorite thang, the Starlight and Sparkles Crystal top coat.  That stuff is the shiznit for me.
These pictures don't even begin to capture the gorgeousness of Mutagen!  You know the drill.  Holo + Duo = heaven in your eyeballs.
Below I did two coats of Cult Nails Wack Slacks.  Again, topped with S&S Crystal top coat.  I needed a mani that would wear well for a trip, and this did just that.  I got just under a week with it.
The formula is great on Wack Slacks.  Very opaque and also relatively easy to clean up!  I think it could be a one-coater for sure, if you are careful with your application.
I wore this to my grandfather's funeral.  No particular reason - I just wanted something moody yet comforting.  It was good for that for me.
I hope everyone is doing well out there and I also hope to post more, more regularly, more sooner.  Ha!  You get what I'm saying.  Thanks for reading this, if you did.  :)

The top pink bottle above is Rainbow Honey Be Mine and the purple and pink glitter mix below is Papillon.
I used two coats of Be Mine and dabbed on a coat of Papillon for my accent.  Two coats of top coat were enough to smooth over the beautiful butterfly!
I have to say that I really love the color of Be Mine in these pictures.  I'm going to sound like a total weirdo by saying that I really didn't care for it next to my skin tone in real life!  The gold flakie shimmer bits, however, are so lovely.
With Papillion I did gently place the butterfly glitter just using the brush included.  I can't imagine that it would be too tricky to place a few through a full mani if one was so inclined.
Speaking of placing cute glitters on a full mani - here we have just that with Rainbow Honey Summer Blossom over Illamasqua Monogamous.
I absolutely adore this combination and felt super chic wearing it for about five days.
By dabbing Summer Blossom over top of Monogamous, I was really easily able to achieve this look.  It reminds me of the Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh packaging!

Application and wear time were very good with all three of the Rainbow Honey polishes.  They were generously provided to me for review purposes.  I was also given The Kraken (which you can see again here) and XOXO (click here).

I do so enjoy Rainbow Honey polishes.  If you haven't tried them yet, what are you waiting for?!  There is also a nifty coupon code right now (expires 3/31/2014), which gives you $5 off your next order:  ILOVENAILBLOGS

You can shop for Rainbow Honey on their site here.

This is three coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Perfect Pear-ing.  I got it on sale at Target a few weeks ago along with a few others.
Dare I say that this is a crelly!?  I don't think I've ever used that term before, but it totally came to mind as I was applying this polish.  It's not as opaque as most cremes and definitely has a slight squishiness to it!  What say you?  Crelly or no?
I love this color.  I find it to be rather unique to my large collection of minty colors.  It's more spring green and lime green than most mints but still has a distinctly mint feel to it.
The application was easy, though I was kind of annoyed to need three coats.
My wear time sucked with this one, but to be fair I have been playing with my base and top coat combos lately, so more than likely that is to blame versus the actual polish!  I believe I was wearing the Dior Gel top coat here, which absolutely did not dry quick enough.  I'm still testing it out in various ways, though, so I haven't made up my mind completely on it.

Here is my first mani using an Emily de Molly glitter polish!  It's called Super Vixen.
I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for underwear here, then added a coat of Super Vixen.  The glitters were surprisingly easy to work with.  I used mostly painting motions with some dabbing.  I suppose I could have got more large circle glitters if I had gone fishing for them.
I'm still really happy with how it turned out!  Also, I used two coats of Gelous topped with Butter London top coat after all the polish.
For whatever reason, this mani chipped for me at the end of about 24 hours, in a chip-prone spot for me.  I would have enjoyed wearing it for longer than that, I'm quite sure!!

I recently purchased my first YSL nail polish.  This is 34 Jade Impérial.
It is arguably not the sexiest color ever, against my skintone.  However, the formula is absolute perfection!!
What's more?  I'm obsessed and in love with the brush!!  It practically did my manicure for me.
I love this so much and definitely need more YSL polishes in my life.
Do you have YSL polishes?  What's your feeling on them?

 Two words:  Magic.  Cake.
I started here with an easy coat of Cult Nails Nevermore.
Then I added a coat to a coat and a half of Rainbow Honey Magic Cake.  I used painting motions with just a little bit of dabbing.
A coat of Gelous and then top coat made it smooth enough for me.
This combo made me so very happy!  I love, love, love!!!
I'm really glad I sprung for the full size bottle of Magic Cake.  I don't ever want to be without it!

This is two coats of Essie Come Here.  I really like this color (lately).
Application was very easy but I stupidly chose to use Dior's top coat over top and thus my beautiful mani only lasted about a day.  :(
Next was Lippmann's Sugar Rum Cherry, from a LE holiday Bloomingdales trio set.
I used three coats here and followed with my usual Sephora X top coat.  I got great wear time with this one - around a week.
I made sure to go slowly between coats, as this type of polish finish will always bubble on me if I rush.
The shimmers are really complex and gorgeous.
Not my usual sort of color, if there is such a thing, but I enjoyed wearing it!

I've been mildly obsessed with Illamasqua Purity as of late.  I just love how it looks on me.
I'm pretty sure you've seen it here before - now you'll see it again with Lynnderella Ice the Snowcake over top!  I adore this combo.
I used 1-2 coats of Ice the Snowcake, using brush stroke movements as well as dabbing.  Mostly the glitters were well behaved - only once did I have trouble with them wanting to clump up on each other.
As I recall, I used two coats of Gelous and then finished with Sephora X top coat.  Not perfectly smooth, but super shiny and good enough for me!  :)  I wonder if I'll ever tire of Purity.

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
