This is three coats of BB Couture for Nails Frosty Meadow.  Pardon the hair on my pinky nail!
This applied easily and was nearly good in two coats.  I used Butter London's top coat and then added Sephora X top coat after that, just for extra smoothness.
I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing that adding in the Butter London top coat ruined my somewhat magical Sephora X combo, because it chipped and peeled the first day.  How sad!
It was gorgeous while it lasted.

This is three coats of BB Couture for Nails Redwood Forest.
Yummy, shimmery, fabulous greeeen.  Application was easy.
The shimmer is blueish.  Do love!
I used my Sephora X base and top coat.  It wore well for at least three days.  I can't remember the exact wear time, but I've not been disappointed with the X base-top combo yet, save for the one time I tried it with Zoya polish.  Hooray for longer wearing manis!  Also, I love how the X top coat is super shiny and stays very shiny for a long time.  I don't love the texture of it - kind of thick and tricky, but worth the trouble, I will say.

For this mani, I started with two coats of BB Couture for Men Michael.

Michael is another gorgeous bluey purpley wonder polish. The formula is excellent, as always.

When you are putting it on you see all these shimmering little micro flakes. Obviously, this doesn't translate as much onto the nail.

It reads like a slate blue most of the time.

The picture above is from in my bathroom. The picture below is with the flash, to try and show off the shimmah, since it's rainy out and there is no sun to be found!

Now, I was perfectly happy with Michael. Really. But due to a series of unfortunate events, I had to add something to this mani to save it. I won't bore you with details.

I added a coat of BB Couture for Nails Trim & Tassled.

Check out the beautiful iridescent little glitters! They shift from green to yellow to orange.

It kind of reminds me of a rainy night in the city...hence my post title. :)

Sometimes, when life hands you lemons, you gotta put some glittah on that mani!!

I've edited this to add some sunny pictures!

Earlier this week I had a weird day where I ended up changing my polish in quite a hurry before going to work. I very randomly decided on BB Couture for Nails Cleopatra.

This is just two coats and I took these pictures after two days of wear.

I hope you'll pardon the tip wear and smudge on my index finger. This was probably the quickest mani I've every done!

I'd worn Cleopatra before as a pedi and loved it. It's a really cool duochrome teal that has a strong green undercurrent and a purple flash that isn't showing well in my pictures.

Also, bear in mind that in low light this appears as a much darker blue. It's so pretty and mysterious!!

I also love the BB formula and brushes. The brush is pretty skinny, which seems to work well for me.

To those who are patiently waiting on TiNS wheel swatches - they are coming. It will probably be another few days before I can post them, though. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

I just finished wearing BB Couture for Nails Dragon's Breath. I used three coats and wore it for a good two days (keep in my I worked full days and am pretty hard on my nails while at work).

Dragon's Breath is a reddish purple jelly with loads of teeny multi-colored glitter. I think of it as maroon, really. And I love Maroon 5, on a merely slightly related note!

I apologize for indoor only pictures but the weather and my work schedule didn't give me much of a chance for anything better.

I don't usually reach for colors like this, but I am glad I did this time. I think it works particularly well with my nubs. :)

And, just because I can, here is a killer sneak peak at my new NOTD.
Drumroll, please!!!

Three coats of TiNS The Silky Night. I just took this picture about half an hour ago, right after I painted them. I will do a full post tomorrow with tons more pictures.

Ha ha! I really love the name of this polish, Adios Mo Fo, by BB Couture for Nails. It's pretty funny. Also, not one you necessarily want to tell the name of to your grandma or something.

I used two coats of Adios Mo Fo.

Then I topped it with a coat of Anna Sui 107.

This was a super pretty combination that I really enjoyed wearing.

The Anna Sui has big square silver glitters along with smaller silver glitter and iridescent blue glitter. Woo hoo!

I don't think the light blue jelly base of 107 would likely show up much on its own, but it would probably be very pretty with three or four coats (I'm thinking a la RBL Bikini Bottom)!

This is three coats of BB Couture for Nails Eve. It's a groovy brownish olive with a pink duochrome.

I absolutely love all the little green glitters and shimmer.

And while I do not think this is one of my best colors in terms of skin tone, I still love it! I'm not one to care too much about that. I just wish it looked more flattering on me because it's so amazing.

It reminds me a little of $OPI 212 with it's murky swampy sparkliness.

Like most BBs, it applied marvelously.

I really love my BB Couture for Nails collection. They have some amazing colors, finishes, and the formula is great.

Her name is Poke.

She is arguably the finest, most heavenly perfect purple polish EVER. :D

Some might say I have taken "too many" pictures of her.

I say they are crazy.

My nails have some oil on them still, so if you see any textural inconsistencies, it the oil, not the Poke.

Poke wants you to come have a pool party!

"Where do I find this spectacular specimen of varnish?"(You might be asking.)

Only in the United Kingdom!!!! Oh dear. Lucky for them. Not for us...or the U.S. for that matter. :P

But is it worth the bazillion pounds and dollars that you will spend to have her shipped to your front door?

I think you know the answer.

There is a very slight light blue flash. Do you see it?

Now go get you some Poke. Do it! Now!

Hmm. What is this? Sweet little Laguna Lagoon from B.B. Couture for Nails! I think I was in a hurry and only uploaded one picture of this, but you need to see it. Gorgeous! BBs apply very beautifully, if you haven't tried them yet. And they wear well, too. Oh, and they have a groovy color range! Mints have been all the rage this year and I fear Laguna Lagoon has been a bit forgotten. Minty creamy deliciousness!!

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
