This DMOD has a completely different feel, unique and all it's own.

You play a heroine, the magic and its use are different from the original game or any other DMOD.

There are appropriate graphics that accompany all of this and the execution and scripting is pretty much top notch.

The story starts out simple and while a little too much "tell not show" (as in there could have been some cut scenes that explained all the stuff the text on screen did when reading, which would've made it far more interesting). The game just becomes an very uninteresting (at least for me) arcade game in which the music is generic and repetitive, and the prospect of using the same magic techniques of switching etc is tedious.

Story: 8 out of 10. I liked the setup but it gets bogged down in arcade style very quickly.

Graphics: 9 out of 10 - nice use of new and recycled graphics throughout. The magic wind stuff from the little wizards didn't work for me.

Mapping: 10 out of 10 - loved the way the maps were done, as in the editing of existing sprites in such inventive ways

Music/Sound: 6 out of 10 - not that great, functional at best, and then there was this one music cue with the jealous girl at the beginning that was way too loud, and just overkill in a choice for the scene, really threw me and I nearly quit there and then.

Gamplay: 8.5 out of 10 - the new and completely fresh approach to how to play was great at first, but after battling many many similar monsters the DMOD spiraled into an arcade style game that got boring very fast for me. I'm not a fan of just killing monsters. Maybe I shouldn't have selected to pursue the wizard and gone the other way of saving the village is more like the start where you have to figure out how to use the fire and bombs to get around stuff.

Overall 8.5 - Definitely worth playing if you like arcade style battling enemies, not so much if you're looking for a traditional Dink adventure.
