Gaetano's sick again with a fever. :-( He didn't want to take Tylenol this morning, exclaiming he wanted "purple". So what's a mom to do? Add a drop of blue food color of course! Good thing he didn't want yellow...

Okay, I have to tell you that when I'd babysit for this one family I'd dye the kids milk different colors to make them drink it - what possessed me to start that I don't know but I'll have to give them a call to see if they remember.
I really do hope Gaetano's his ol' self soon... oh, and the food coloring won't do too much damage, have you seen some of the foods made for children lately???
:-) Hey, great minds think alike, what can I say? I know the food color isn't real bad, but I do try to limit the the bad things in his diet as much as I can. Remember, I was the one who would by only organic fruits and veggies his first year of eating solids, and blend them all myself. It all went downhill when he turned 2 and his father started giving him things I would never have (typical man!). I'm not strict as I would like to be anymore, only with certain things like soda. :-) ~Angela

I'll have to remember that one - clever, and oh so tricky! Good thing he can't read your Blogs yet huh?
:-) He's too smart. He figured it out. He now tells me to "Make it purple mama". Lil' smarty pants! I think I have him convinced that red will make him feel better though.
I can't keep dying it purple for him; too much blue food coloring just can't be healthy, not that the red they use in the first place is any better!
I'd do it again though if it were the only choice and it meant keeping him from crying (hence escelating the fever). :-) ~Angela
